Road Marking with Hot Applied Thermoplastic Compound with Reflectorising Glass Beads on Bituminous Surface. Providing and laying of hot applied thermoplastic compound 2.5 mm thick including reflectorising glass beads @ 250 gms per sqm area, thickness of 2.5 mm is exclusive of surface applied glass beads as per IRC:35-2015 The finished surface to be level, uniform and free from streaks and holes. Reflective Raised Pavement Markers (Cat Eye/Road Stud) Supply and fixing of raised pavement marker with Made of Plastic body of RPM/ Road Stud shall be moulded from ASA (Acrylic Styrene Acrylonitrite) or HIPS (High-lmoact Polystyrene) or Acryloniitrite Butadien Styrene (ABS) or Any other suitable material approved by the Engineer. The Marker shal support a load of 13,635 kg tested in accordance with ASTM D4280.The Reflective panels shall consist of number of lenses contatning single or dual prismatic cubes capable of providing total internal reflection of the lightentring the lens face. Lenses shall be mauled of methyl methecrylateconforming to ASTM D788 of equivalent. The slop or retro-reflectingsurface shall preferably be 35+/-5 degree to base and the area of eachretro -reflecting surface shall not be less than 13.00 sq.cm. the markerheight shall not be less than 10 mm and shall not exceed 20 mm &Width shall not exceed 130 mm. The base of the marker shall be flat within1.3 mm all road studs shall be legibly marked with the name , trade or othermeans of identification of the manufacture. epoxy installations, excessadhesive around the edge of the marker, excess adhesive on thepavement and adhesive on the exposed surfaces of the markers shall beimmediately removed. The contractor shall submit a two year warranty forsatisfactory field performance including stipulated retro-reflectance of thereflecting panel , to the Engineer . In addition , a two year warranty forsatisfactory infield performance of the finished road marker shall also begiven by the contractor who carries out the work of fixing of reflective roadmarkers. In case the markers are displaced , damaged , get worn out orlose their reflectivity compared to stipulated standards , the contractorwould be required to replace all such markers within 15 days of the intimation from the Engineer , at his own cost. The rate shall include all materials, labour, T&P, transportation, installation and incidentals all complete as per direction of the Engineer-in-Charge.
