Construction of equipment foundations, cable trench, pathway, approach road, fencing ,development of land by earth filling and switchyard and other tit bit worksfor new 33/11 KV spread out typeSub-Station at Raskundu under Midnapore Division, Dist.- Paschim Medinipur - Earth work in excavation of foundation trenches or drains, in all sorts of soil (including mixed soil but excluding laterite or sandstone) including removing, spreading or stacking the spoils within a lead of 75 m. as directed. The item includes necessary trimming the trenches, levelling, dressing and ramming the bottom, bailing out water as required complete. a) Depth of excavation not exceeding 1,500 mm. 2 Earth work in filling in foundation trenches or plinth with good earth, in layers not exceeding 150 mm. including watering and ramming etc. layer by layer complete. (Payment to be made on the basis of measurement of finished quantity of work)---(a) With earth obtained from excavation of foundation. 3 (A) Filling in foundation or plinth by silver sand in layers not exceeding 150 mm as directed and consolidating the same by thorough saturation with water, ramming complete including the cost of supply of sand. (payment to be made on measurement offinished quantity) 4 Single brick flat soling of picked jhama bricks including ramming and dressing bed to proper level and filling joints with powdered earth or local sand. 5 Cement concrete with graded stone ballast (40 mm size excluding shuttering). In ground floor and foundation.(A) Pakur Variety. 1:3:6 proportion. 6 Hire and labour charges for shuttering with centreing and necessary staging upto 4 m. using approved stout props and thick hard wood planks of approved thickness with required bracing for concrete slabs, beams, columns, lintels curved or straight including fitting, fixing and striking out after completion of works (upto roof of ground floor).--- a) 25 mm to 30 mm thick wooden shuttering as per decision & direction of Engineer-In-Charge.In i) Gr. floor. 7 (b) 25 mm to 30 mm shuttering without staging in foundation etc. 8 Reinforcement for reinforced concrete work in all sorts of structures including distribution bars, stirrups,binders etc. including supply of rods, initial straightening and removal of loose rust (if necessary), cutting to requisite length, hooking and bennding to correct shape, placing in proper position and binding with 16 gauge black annealed wire at every intersection, complete as per drawing and direction.i) JSW /JSPL /SHYAM /SRMB /BMASL/ ELECTROSTEEL/SSL(a)In Ground Floor and Foundation. 9 Ordinary Cement concrete (mix 1:2:4) with graded stone chips (20 mm.nominalsize) excluding shuttering and reinforcement, if any, in ground floor as per relevant IS codes.--a) Pakur Variety. 10 Ordinary Cement concrete (mix 1:1.5:3) with graded stone chips(20 mm.nominal size) excluding shuttering and reinforcement, if any, in ground floor as per relevant IS codes. (i) Pakur Variety.( I ) In Ground Floor & Foundation. 11 A) Brick work with 1st. Class bricks in C.M. ( 1: 6) (a) In foundation and plinth 12 125 mm. thick brick work with 1st class bricks in cement mortar (1:4) in ground floor. ( a )Gr. Floor. 13 Plaster (to wall, floor, ceiling etc.) with sand and cement mortar including rounding off or chamfering corners as directed and raking out joints including throating, nosing and drip course, scaffolding/staging where necessary (Ground floor).[Exxcluding cost of chipping over concrete surface.] (i) With 1:6 cement mortar (a) 15 mm. thick plaster . In ground floor. 14 (a) 20 mm. thick plaster In ground floor. 15 Neat cement punning about 1.5 mm. thick in wall, dado, window, sills, floor, drain etc.NOTE: Cement 0.152 cu. M. per sq.m. 16 Protective and decorative Acrylic exterior emulsion paint of approved quality, as per manufacturers specification and as per direction of EIC to be applied over acrylic primer as required.The rate includes cost of material, labour, scaffolding and all incidental charges but excluding the cost of primer.--- a) Normal Acrylic Emulsion .(Two Coat).i) In ground floor. 17 Applying Exterior grade Acrylic Primer of approved quality and brand on plastered or concretesurface old or new surface to receive decorative textured (mat finish) or smooth finish acrylic exterior Immersion paint including scrapping and preparing the surface thoroughly, complete as per manufacturers specification and as per direction of E.I.C (One coat on new surface.)-----a) In ground floor. 18 Priming one coat on steel or other metal surface with synthetic oil bound primer of approved quality including smoothening surfaces by sand papering etc. 19 (b) On steel or other metal surface : : With other than (hi-gloss) -(iv) Two coats (with any shade except white) 20 Supplying& laying 20 mm Designer Chequered tiles of anyshade and of approved quality as per IS: 1237: 1980 laid inpatterns as directed in pavement, footpath including necessary underlay 25 mm thick average cement mortar (1:3) complete in all respect with all labour and materials [using cement slurry @ 4.4 kg/Sq.m at back side of tiles. Cement of mortar & slurry will be supplied by the Department. Border concrete ifnecessary to be paid separately]. 21 M.S. structural works in columns, beams etc. with simple rolledstructural members (e.g. joists, angle, channel sections conformingto IS: 226, IS: 808 & SP (6)- 1964 connected to one another withbracket, gussets, cleats as per design, direction of Engineer-incharge complete including cutting to requisite shape and length, fabrication with necessary bolting, metal arc welding conforming to IS: 816- 1969 & IS: 1995 using electrodes of approved make and brand conforming to IS:814- 2004, haulage, hoisting and erection all complete. The rate includes the cost of rolled steel section, consumables such as electrodes, gas and hire charge of all tools and plants and labour required for the work including all incidental chages such as electricity charges, labour insurance charges etc.-----I) For structural members of specified sections weighing less than 22.5 Kg./m 22 M.S. gate of Jail type as per approved design made of strong M.S. frame work, intermediate stiffeners and round / square bars or angles. M.S. sheet (not less than 14 gauge) gussets, cleats etc. including necessary riveting, bolting, welding, locking and hanging arrangements, fitting and fixing complete as per direction of the Engineer-in -charge. In ground floor 23 Supplying Crushed stone( Trap stone ) shall be of 40 mm (Ungraded) nominal size. (40 mm size). Pakur Variety.(Payment will be made on basis of measurement after deduction of shrinkage, shinkage). (Washing should be done before spreading of gravels over base). 24 Earth work in filling in compound, tank, low land, ditches etc. with good earth, in layers not exceeding 150 mm. including breaking clods and consolidating the same by ramming and dressing complete.(ii) With carried earth arranged by the contractor within a radius exceeding 3 km. but not exceeding 5 km. including the cost of carried earth.
