Bids Are Invited For Selection of Laboratories for Testing of Products/Material - Soil; Buyer to use custom filter to input technical specification of the product/material so that service provider may provide price offering accordingly; Number; Soil Investigation as per .. Drilling of 150 mm diameter bore hole in all types of soils as per depth indicated below or refusal strata which ever is earlier as per instructions of the Engineer In Charge. Refusal defined as and when N value is 100 or more for 30 cm or part penetration depth of Bore hole up to 15.00m. (a) Conducting standard penetration test (SPT) in the boreholes at 1.0m intervals in depth or every change of strata which ever is earlier as per IS 2131-1981.(or) Collecting disturbed soil sample from the location of conducting the SPT/ DCPT. Collecting undisturbed samples at 1.50m intervals or change of strata which ever occurs earlier. Recording the Ground Water Table if observed upto exploration depth, as per IS: 6395:1973. Conducting all necessary laboratory tests on samples collected for their different engineering properties. Following tests will be carried out :- (i) Dry density and moisture content (IS 2720 part-2 & 29) (ii) Atterbergs limit- (IS 2720 part - 5 1985) (iii) Particle size analysis - (IS 2720 part-4 1985) & IS classification of the soil. (iv) Specific gravity - (IS 2720 part - 3/sec 2 1980) (v) Consolidation test - (IS 2720 part-15 1986) and compressed value index. (vi) Free swell and Swell pressure test- (IS 2720 part-40 1977, part-41 1977) Bulk Density. Organic matter in soil if any. Triaxial compression test and determination of (C& & value) shear parameters as per relevant IS Harmful salt. Submission of Six copies of ink signed test reports. The report should include the following:- Detailed description of field investigation, soil classification and general nature of soil strata, water table, interpretation of test results; grains size distribution curves, compressive index curves, site plan etc, stress-strain modulus (by stress-strain curves from triaxial tests), Foundation analysis & recommendations with supporting calculations regarding foundation system, depth of foundation. (vii) The SBC of the soil is required to be given as per following table, calculation of bearing capacity will be governed generally as per IS 8009(Pt-1) 1976, IS 2720 (P-II) 1980, IS 6403-1980,IS 1904-1986 & 1080-1985 and other relevant IS codes and detailed calculations duly showing the various soil parameters /indices shall be given in the soil report:-Depth of foundation Safe bearing capacity of soil in T/M2 for footing size Remarks Strip footing 1.2m x 1.2m, 1.5 m x 1.5m, 2m x 2m, 2.5m x 2.5m in depth for 1m, 1.5m,2.0m, 2.5m Plotting of a compiled sub-surface profile along the depth in both plan directions.
