Individual pieces of Buffalo grass sod shall be cut to the supplier’s standard width and length. Maximum allowable deviation from standard widths and lengths shall be plus or minus 15 mm on width and plus or minus five percent on length. Broken pads and torn or uneven ends will not be acceptable. Standard size sections of Buffalo grass sod shall be strong enough that it can be picked up and handled without damage. Buffalo grass sod shall not be harvested or transplanted when its moisture content (excessively dry or wet) may adversely affect its survival. Before harvesting, the turfgrass shall be mowed uniformly at a height of 25 to 60 mm on winter season grasses and 20 to 40 mm on summer season. Grass turfgrass sod should be transported unloaded at site with care and protection and without any damage. The planted Grass turfgrass have to be maintained for a period of 3months after the entire planting is completed.
