1Scarifying the existing bituminous road surface to a depth of 50mm and disposal of scarified material within all lifts and lead upto 1 Km (by mechanical means) complete with cost of materials, labour, tools & plants all as per specifications and directions of Engineer-in-charge..
2Preparation and consolidation of sub grade with power road roller of 8 to 12 tonne capacity after excavating earth to an average of 22.5 cm depth, dressing to camber and consolidating with road roller including making good the undulations etc. and re-rolling the sub grade and disposal of surplus earth with lead upto 50 metres.
3Construction of granular sub-base by providing close graded Material conforming to specifications, mixing in a mechanical mix plant at OMC, carriage of mixed material by tippers to work site, for all leads & lifts, spreading in uniform layers of specified thickness with motor grader on prepared surface and compacting with vibratory power roller to achieve the desired density,complete with cost of materials, labour, tools & plants all as per specifications and directions of Engineer-in-charge.. With material conforming to Grade-II (size range 53 mm to 0.075 mm ) having CBR Value-25.
4Providing and laying C.C. pavement of mix M-25 with ready mixed concrete from batching plant. The ready mixed concrete shall be laid and finished with screed board vibrator , vacuum dewatering process and finally finished by floating, brooming with wire brush etc.complete with cost of materials, labour, tools & plants all as per specifications and directions of Engineer-in-charge.(The panel shuttering work shall be paid for separately). (Note:- Cement content considered in this item is @ 330 kg/cum.Excess/less cement used as per design mix is payable/ recoverable separately).
5Providing and laying 60mm thick faciory made cement concrete interlocking paver block of M -30 grade made by block making machine with strong vibratory compaction, of approved size, design & shape, laid in required colour and pattern over and including 50mm thick compacted bed of coarse sand, filling the joints with line sand etc. complete with cost of materials, labour, tools & plants all as per specifications and directions of Engineer-in-charge.
6Providing and laying at or near ground level factory made kerb stone of M-25 grade cement in position to the required line, level and curvature jointed with cement mortar 1:3 (1 cement: 3 coarse sand) including making joints with or without grooves (thickness of joints except at sharp curve shall not to more than 5mm) including making drainage opening wherever required complete with cost of materials, labour, tools & plants all as per specifications and directions of Engineer-in-charge. (length of finished kerb edging shall be measured for payment). (Precast C.C. kerb stone shall be approved by Engineer in- charge). Note:Required number of compressive strength tests shall be conducted for the materials arrived at site at the cost of contractor.
7Providing and laying in position bitumen hot sealing compound for expansion joints etc.(Using grade ‘A’ sealing compound.)
8Painting Kerb stones with two coats of Synthetic Enamel Paint of Asian paints or equivalent approved make and shadeover a coat of approvedprimer of two alternate coloursincluding preparing the surfaces, cleaning etc. complete with cost of materials, labour, tools & plants all as per specifications and directions of Engineer-in-charge
9Making bell mouth opening/ entrance of size 100x50x50 cm for drainage pipe under footpath, including providing cement concrete 1:3:6 (1 cement : 3 coarse sand : 6 graded stone aggregate 20 mm nominal size) for shape of bell mouth, including plastering providing and fixing precast R.C.C./ S.F.R.C. slab including plastering with cement mortar 1:3 (1 cement : 3 fine sand) of 6 mm thickness on exposed surface of the slab & bell mouth including centring, shuttering & neat cement punning inside the bell mouth etc. all complete with cost of materials, labour, tools & plants all as per specifications and directions of Engineer-in-charge.
10Excavating trenches of required width for pipes,cables, etc, including excavation for sockets, and dressing of sides, ramming of bottoms,depth upto 1.5 m including getting out the excavated soil,and then returning the soil as required in layers not exceeding 20 cm in depth including consolidating each deposited layers by ramming, watering etc. and disposing of surplus excavated soil as directed, within a lead of 50 mm : Pipes, cables etc. exceeding 80 mm dia but not exceeding 300 mm dia. all complete with cost of materials, labour, tools & plants all as per specifications and directions of Engineer-in-charge.
11Providing and laying non-pressure NP2 class (light duty) R.C.C. pipes with collars jointed with stiff mixture of cement mortar in the proportion of 1:2 (1 cement : 2 fine sand) including testing of joints etc. complete :250 mm dia. R.C.C. pipe all complete with cost of materials, labour, tools & plants all as per specifications and directions of Engineer-in-charge.
12Providing and laying cement concrete 1:5:10 (1 cement : 5 coarse sand : 10 graded stone aggregate 40 mm nominal size) up to haunches of S.W. pipes including bed concrete as per standard design : 250 mm diameter S.W pipe all complete with cost of materials, labour, tools & plants all as per specifications and directions of Engineer-in-charge.
13Constructing masonry Chamber 90x90x100 cm inside, in brick work in cement mortar 1:4 (1 cement : 4 coarse sand) for fire hydrant,with C.I. surface box 100 mm top diameter, 160 mm bottom diameter and 180 mm deep (inside) with chained lid and RCC top slab 1:2:4 mix (1 cement : 2 coarse sand : 4 graded stone aggregate 20 mm nominal size ), i/c necessary excavation, foundation concrete 1:5:10 (1 cement : 5 fine sand : 10 graded stone aggregate 40 mm nominal size ) and inside plastering with cement mortar 1:3 (1 cement : 3 coarse sand) 12 mm thick, finished with a floating coat of neat cement complete as per standard design : With common burnt clay F.P.S.(non modular) bricks of class designation 7.5 all complete with cost of materials, labour, tools & plants all as per specifications and directions of Engineer-in-charge.
14Demolishing cement concrete manually/ by mechanical means including disposal of material within 150 metres lead as per direction of Engineer – in – charge. Nominal concrete 1:3:6 or richer mix (i/c equivalent design mix) all complete with cost of labour, tools & plants all as per specifications and directions of Engineer-in-charge.
15Disposal of building rubbish / malba / similar unserviceable, dismantled or waste materials by mechanical means, including loading, transporting, unloading to approved municipal dumping ground or as approved by Engineer-in-charge, out side AMD complex, for all leads including all lifts involved

17Providing and applying 2.5 mm thick road marking strips (retroreflective) of specified shade/ colour using hot thermoplastic material by fully/ semi automatic thermoplastic paint applicator machine fitted with profile shoe, glass beads dispenser, propane tank heater and profile shoe heater, driven by experienced operator on road surface including cost of material, labour, T&P, cleaning the road surface of all dirt, seals, oil, grease and foreign material etc. complete as per direction of Engineer-in-charge and accordance with applicable specifications
18Taking out existing kerb stones of all types from footpath/ central verge, including removal of mortar etc., and stacking of serviceable material within 150 metre lead as per direction of Engineer-in-Charge.
19Raising of height of manhole including dismantling and refixing of angle iron frame from cement concrete ,raising the height of existing manhole to required level of road by using brick /concrete and refixing of Cast Iron cover etc.all complete with cost of materials, labour, tools & plants all as per specifications and directions of Engineer-in-charge.
20Taking out C.I. cover with frame from R.C.C. top slab of manholes of various sizes including demolishing of R.C.C. work manually/ by mechanical means and stacking of useful materials near the site and disposal of unserviceable materials within 50 metres lead as per direction of Engineer-in-charge.
21Providing and laying in position specified grade of reinforced cement concrete, excluding the cost of centering, shuttering, finishing and reinforcement - All work up to plinth level :1:1.5:3 (1 cement : 1.5 coarse sand (zone-III): 3 graded stone aggregate 20 mm nominal size) all complete with cost of materials, labour, tools & plants all as per specifications and directions of Engineer-in-charge.
22Smooth finishing of exposed surface of R.C.C with 6 mm thick cement mortar 1: 3 ( 1 Cement : 3 Fine sand) all complete with cost of materials, labour, tools & plants all as per specifications and directions of Engineer-in-charge.
23Steel reinforcement for R.C.C. work including straightening, cutting, bending, placing in position and binding all complete upto plinth level.Mild steel and Medium Tensile steel bars all complete with cost of materials, labour, tools & plants all as per specifications and directions of Engineer-in-charge.
24Centering and shuttering including strutting, propping etc. and removal of form work for : walls (any thickness) including attached pilasters, buttresses, plinth and string courses etc.all complete with cost of materials, labour, tools & plants all as per specifications and directions of Engineer-in-charge.
25Providing and fixing of panel shuttering for concrete pavement includingproppingand removal of form work etc. all complete with cost of materials, labour, tools & plants all as per specifications and directions of Engineer-in-charge.
26General Notes: 1. Contractor shall inspect the site to acquaint with the site conditions as well as security conditions at AMD, Eastern Region, Jamshedpur. 2. All the dismantled/ demolished materials shall be dumped within the lead of 150.0mtr. 3. All the samples of materials which are to incorporated in the work shall be got approved by theEngineer -In- charge well in advance. All mandatory tests (As per Appendex-B) for materials shall be carried out/doneby the contractor at his cost only. Department will not pay/ reimburse any laboratory testing charges. 4. It is the responsibility of the contractor to handover the dismantled items to Department at site. Contractor shall be held responsible for any shortage/ missing of dismantled itemsuntill handing over the same to dept.stroes 5. The contractor is required to pay his employees / labour as per the prevailing minimum wages approvedby State/ Central Govt. The Officer In –Charge or his representative will witness the payment of contractor’s labour and is required to certify that the contractor does not pay less than the minimum wages approved. Payment to the contractor will be released only on such certification from Officer In –Charge. The contractorshall maintain 1. Register of Workmen employed 2. Muster roll 3. Register ofwages etc. 6. Contractor shall quote rates for all items after considering cost of materials and labour components and all such conditions leads, lifts, safety precautions, security restrictions that are necessary for satisfactory completion of work as per instructions and site conditions. Security regulations shall be followed 7. The rates quoted shall inclusive the cost of all tools and tackles, manpower including wages, all wastages andGST,water charges,Labour cess, seignorage etc., as applicable,but exclusive of EPF and ESI. EPF and ESI are reimbursable on production of proof of payment as per relevant clause of CPWD manual. 8.The contractor has to follow all safety rules of the department and all safety equipments, PPE shall be provided to all workers engaged by him. Only skilled workers have to be deployed for work on heights wherever and whenever required. Insurance to workers shall be done and should be valid during entire period of contract. 9. The contractor shall use only river sand confirming to IS 383 for all cement works involved in the scope of work.
