1 | Repair to longitudinal/transverse cracks of any width n.exc 25mm crack widthin bituminous runway surface by cutting V groove of size 50 to 75 mm at top and n.exc 100mm deep with mechanical cutter/routermachine and cleaning the cut portion with compressed air using compressor andbrushing hard the cut portion to remove all dust and dirt and filling complete cut portion with cold emulsion mixed with sandand 2% cement of total mix completeall as specified and directed by Engr-In-Charge and approved by GE. Note: The quoted rate includes (a) M&L for 03 Nos trial patch of 10mtr each using differentproportion of materials at selected location as directed by GE and Aviation Authorities before starting of work on runway and getting approval for best suited proportion for further progress of work. (b) Sand should be Coarse Stone dust/brown coarse sand. |
2 | M&L for preparing of old black top surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc all around the runway and the edges of runway,sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surfaces with the use of air blowers to remove all loose dirts etc complete and applying cold polymer modified emulsion(PME)by spraying with machine of total cold liquid PME @0.89 litre per sqm( 0.89 litres per sqm has been considered for estimation purpose only final coverage will be assessed after trial patch and will be approved after careful assessment of Trial patch by GE/CWE and Air force authorities)for two coats with mineral filler as recommended by manufacturer of PME (after diluting with water),each coat diluted in the ratio 1:1 (PME:Water) and ensure uniform finish of PME on runway complete all as per manufacturers instructions and complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-In-charge and approved by GE.After application of first coat minimum 6 hrs gap should be given for second coat and will be applied as finishing coat. Make: M/S L N Petro Chem Private Ltd (brand name: EMULCOTE) & M/S Hindustan Colas Pvt Ltd (brand Name: Hincol Hinmat Plus) or of equivalent approved make of E-In-C"s Branch Note:- (A) The Tenderer shall take into consideration of the following points while quoting the rate of this item are as under:- (i) Due care shall be taken for friction parameters during application of PME as per ICAO (international Civil Aviation Organisation) standard. (ii) The work shall be carried out through authorised and qualified applicators of maufacturer PME only who have good working experience for similar nature of work. (iii) Care shall be taken to fill all gaps/cracks upto 3mm size with PME and mineral filler as per manufacturers instructions only and inclusive of rate. (iv) A performance guarantee certificate for 03 years shall be submitted by the contractor to the GE on completion of work as specified. (v) Application of PME shall be done by flooding and wiping (manual moping) in both first coat and second coat with the help of wiper to fill all gaps and voids all as directed by manufacturers and directed by GE/Engr-In-Charge. (vi) Application of PME shall be done under the supervision of manufacturers technical experts. (vii)Quoted rates shall include: M&L for 03 Nos trial patches of size 15mx15m using different proportion of materials at selected locations for bad and very bad condition asdirected by GE and Aviation authoritiesbefore starting of work on runway.And getting approval for best suited proportion for further progress of work Note:-(B) :(i) Conducting of following tests over flexible portion of runway surfaces before and after application of PME by Govt approved lab/by technical experts of PME by manufacturer as directed by GE (ii) Portable skid resistance test(PSRT) (dry and wet condition) in every 5000 sqm area of runway shall be carried out before and after PME application by Govt approved lab/by experts technician of PME manufacturer as directed by GE. |
3 | M&L for cutting the existing bituminuous surface and raking out the sunk portion without disturbing surrounding portion of Runway and throwing the rubbish out of premises awayfrom runway area ,cleaning the cut portion with compressed air and brushing hard to remove any dust/dirt and applying tack coat using paving bitumen VG 10 @ 5kg/10 Sqm over the old surface and filling the portion withSemi dense asphaltic concrete (SDAC) in two different layers for grade correction with 5.5% binder content by weight of total mix,rolled with tandem power roller of capacity 8-12 tonnesand compacted to required gradient all as specified and directed by Engr-In-Charge and approved by GE. Note: List of T&P to be made available during working period for checking accuracy of work (a) Thermometer (b) Staright Edge (c) Auto level (d) Air compressor |
4 | Demolition of cement concrete in ground floors and pavings of any description and in any position and of any thickness measured complete including removal of debris away from runway area complete all as specifiedand directed by Engr-In-Charge. |
5 | M&L for surface dressing n.exc 15cm deep in soft/loose soil including romoving roots and grass and dressing earth to required gradient and removal of unwanted soil/material away from runway area complete all as specified and directed by Engr-In-Charge and approved by GE. |
6 | M&L for providing approved earth free from vegetation and pebbles obtained from outside of MOD land,laying and spreading in layers of each n.exc 10cm compacted thickness with rolling each layer,grading with motor grader and compacting with 8 to 12 tonnes powertendon road roller including filling in soft spots,hollows and depression etc including watering,as necessary during rolling at OMC in shoulders of runway and Taxi tracks to achieve the min 98% density of MDD determined using modified proctor density. Note:- (a) Earth to be brought at site shall be tested and got approved by GE before start of work.Testing rates are inclusive of quoted rates. (b) To arrive finished quantity for consolidated thickness shall be measured (c) Eart shall be free from foreign material,i.e grass,roots etc complete all as specified and directed by Engr-In-Charge |
