1Medical Grade Copper Pipeline With Tubings, Fittings, Pressure Gauges
2The copper pipes shall be copper annealed ASTM B/75/B68 or equivalent standards.
3The Diameter of the pipe should be suitable for 1000 LPM average flow and this pipeline will have to be divided into two in the oxygen supply plant and attached to two pipelines systems presently feeding the hospital.
4Grossly the diameter should not be less than 38mm X 1.5mm or thicker so as to bear pressure of 10 -12 bar
5All pipe work materials shall be manufactured by BS EN ISO 9001:2000 registered companies marking for sizes up to 108 mm, copper pipes shall be permanently and durably marked at regular intervals along its length with the following information.
6-       The harmonised standard number EN 13348;
7-       Lloyds/BSI Kitemark or equivalent approved to EN 13348:2008
8-       Nominal dimensions, diameter x wall thickness;
9-       Temper designation to EN 1173;
10-       Manufacturer"s identification;
11-       Date of production: year and month (1 to 12)
12-       Confirmation of degreasing for oxygen
13Brazing shall be carried out flame source, temperatures and materials as per HTM/ NFPA recommendations
14Brazed Pipeline Joints (Copper to copper) should be made using a silver-copper-phosphorous brazing alloy CP104 (5% Silver Brazing Filler metals Rod) to BS EN 1044-1999, no flux to be used.
15Copper Fittings:
16Medical Gas Pipeline Fittings shall be end feed type, manufactured from the same grade of copper as the pipes and be in accordance with the requirements of BS EN 1254-1:1998 Part 1. The manufacturing company should comply with BS EN ISO 9001:2000 and should be Kite Marked/Lyods or equivalent to EN 1254-1 (up to 54mm).  Fittings should be factory degreased suitable for oxygen use and be supplied individually sealed in protective polythene bags.  Fittings should be certified for medical use and accompany with oil analysis certificate and conformity certificate indicating suitability for medical use.
17Protection for pipes
18The pipelines in the bare area like space between buildings should be suitably protected and covered with fire resistant/ retardant insulation in such a manner that inner copper pipe does not come in contact with outer GI pipe. High Quality GI pipe quality covers which should be welded in such a way that only authorized person can open it using proper tools only.Further these should be of such a material and supported in such a manner so as to take load of monkeys/ langoors.Any such supports required should be quoted in the technical bid in the civil work.
19Uncovered Sections of GI pipe will have to be protected with weather resistant stainless steel barbed wire.
20The pipeline should be suitable for tolerating temperatures of (–) 10oC to (+) 30oC and high ambient humidity exceeding 90% and ice formation during winters. Given the length of the pipeline and climatic conditions, provision for expansion and shrinkage of metal should be incorporated.
21All end connections, pressure gauges, valves and fittings of cascade shall be within tamper proof, see through and wire cage enclosure. These shall be on one side of cascade frame for ease of operation.
22Parts of the pipe between the building blocks may have to be supported with columns/ beams of iron angle or concrete if necessary, which will have to be done by the firm laying down the pipeline.
23The copper tube used for venting (if any) shall be of ASTM B75, B68. Sizes of pipeline with above specification to be used.

29Alarms and Other Components
30MEDICAL GAS AREA LINE PRESSURE ALARM
31Area Gas Alarms It should comply with NFPA99 standard with American UL/ETL/ATL listed certificate.
32Should be suitable for Oxygen, Air and Vacuumand Nitrous oxide
33Condition occur. A “Mute” switch shall be provided inside the panel for use during any maintenance resulting in prolonged pipeline or plant shutdown. This facility shall automatically reset when the gas service returns to normal. The alarm panel shall have a ‘Test’ facility to prove the integrity of the internal circuits, visual and audible warning. The alarm panel shall incorporate a volt free normally closed relay to allow for interconnection to either a medical gas central alarm system or an event recording circuit of a building management system. In the event of an electrical power supply failure the ‘System Alarm’ LCD panel shall illuminate (flashing) and the audible warning shall be delayed for 30 seconds to enable standby generator tests. Line continuity monitoring circuits shall be provided to constantly monitor the integrity of the input sensors and interconnecting wiring. In the event of any fault the line continuity monitoring circuits shall initiate the specific gas service failure indication, a ‘System Alarm’ indication and an audible warning. Further aids to fault diagnosis shall be provided by means of varying flashing rates whilst operating the ‘Test’ switch. It should be connected through Pressure and Vacuum Switches: Pressure and vacuum switches shall be manufactured with brass wetted parts and house a PCBA with line continuity monitoring resistors. Electrical connectors shall be designed for frequent disassembly. Spade connectors are not acceptable. Pressure

35MASTER ALARM PANEL TOUCH SCREEN
36Master Alarm Panel It should comply NFPA99 with American UL/ETL/ATL listed certificate.
37Master Alarm System panel shall be microprocessor based with individual microprocessors on each area display and sensor board. The sensors shall be capable of local or remote mounting. Each area display module/sensor unit shall be gas specific & with an error message display for an incorrect connection. Alarm should be capable with hospital BMS facility. Master Alarm panel allow users to set up customized instructions for each alarm signal, to appear on the screen when the signal is in alarm. Alarm should be with the touch screen interface on the alarm panel LCD. Edit or Incorporate user-defined instructions into an emergency response plan by the hospital facility. Alarm should be capable of monitors up to 25-60 local inputs. The alarms shall be field expandable with the facility for addition of extra modules up to six services to be accommodated per standard box. A built-in web server in each panel allows a remote operator to display the alarm"s web page and view alarm signals, pressures, and other networked devices.
38Each specific service shall be provided with numerical digital read comprising of 0-250 psi for positive pressure and 0-30 inch Hg for vacuum. The touch screen panel readout shall provide a constant indication of each service being measured. Minimum screen size should be 8.5 inches Touch Screen LCD Display. A bar graph trend indicator shall be provided for each service indicating a green “NORMAL”, yellow “CAUTION” and a red “HIGH” or “LOW” alarm condition. Under normal operation the bar graph display shall move up and down in the green range depending on service usage.
39If an alarm occurs, the “RED” alarm light will flash and an audible alarm will sound. Pushing the “ALARM SILENCE” button will cancel the audible alarm but the unit will remain in the alarm condition until the problem is rectified.
40The default set points shall be +/- 20% variation from normal condition.
