14Supply and fixing of framed work such as in hung shutter, gates including pintle hinges, stops, hand made sliding door bolts, grills,gratings, etc. with ends of bars shouldered and/or riveted,or forged into spikes; framedguard bars; barred iron doors; ladders; framed balusters; walkways; railings; framework of water tanks and similar work conforming to Fe.290.Gde-E-165 complete all as specified and as directed.
15Supply and fixing of mild steel, plain, black sheet, 1.25mm thick, in covering to door shutters; covering to door chowkats (frames); chullah hoods; water tanks; water troughs; ducts; urinal troughs and funnels, etc. cut to size edges beaded if directed, holes punched; including round headed screws, clout nails or rivels and fixed to wood or steel members, etc., with plain 40 mm lap joints or welded/riveted seams including bending, turning up, mitred angles, stopped ends, outlets, etc. as required complete all as specified and as directed.
16Supply and fixing of steel window box type, using ERW hollow "P" section, factory made, comprising double frame for and including gauged and glazed skeleton shutter, 30mm thick, jointed internally with flat iron 25x3mm complete including hinges, handle, tower bolts, stops, lugs etc. all as shown on drawing No. TD-219sheet 1/3 to 3/3 of HQ CE Chandigarh Zone as applicable complete all as specified and as directed. Note: (i) For the purpose of measurementand payment double shutter both glazed and gauzed with frame shall be considered as one unit. (ii) Unit rate quoted against this item shall also include the iron mongery and grill 10 mm square bar irrespective of whatever shown on drawings and one shop coat of zinc chromate primer . (iv) The drawings may be referred from GE office or from this office during working hours.

51Supply, installation, commissioning and testing of Oxygen Manifold: Main confirming to ISO standards with Middle Frames 2 Banks x 6 Cylinder per Each bank Oxygen Manifold (without cylinders), suitable to withstand a pressure of 145 Kg/cm2, along with high-pressure copper annealed tail pipes with end Brass adapter suitable for Oxygen Cylinders and manifold.Top frame comprising of high pressure copper pipes of size 5/8” I.D. x 15swg as per BSEN 1057 with high pressure brass fittings made of high tensile brass equally spaced at 250mm fitted on powder coated MS frame and connections through non- return valves; 1.25 metre long high pressure copper tail pipes, made of high pressure copper pipe of size 5/16” I.D. x 16 swg. Panel cover fitted with lock to prevent unauthorized access and can be swung open for maintenance.The panel includes pressure gauge (63 mm) that indicates the gas pressure of each header and pipe line distribution pressure form Running Bank to Reserve Bank of Cylinder with timer complete all as directed by Engineer-in-charge.
54Notes: (a) Automatic control system consists two first stage regulators and consisting high pressure reducer panel, Alarm and control panel, left / right Ramp pressure sensors, pipeline pressure sensor, high pressure input valve, input filter, 315 Bar input gauge, high pressure reducer body, pressure set up screw, high pressure reducer drain, high pressure gauge, 2nd stage regulator, regulator set up, automatic change -over, automatic output pressure gauge in emergency outlet, back up system input, plant output regulators, plant output pressure gauges, plant output connectedpiping, control/power wiring and all necessary arrangement complete and should comply Indian Medical Standards and should comply standard : HTM 02-01/DIN/EN/ISO-7396-1 and should be CE certified.
55(b) 40 micron filter should be provided at the inlet of each high pressure regulators of the oxygen control panel.
56(c) The control panel will provide for two individual content contact pressure gauges to indicate the cylinder pressure in the two wings of the manifold and common pressure gauge to indicate the delivery / line pressure.
57(d) The control panel will have built in audio-visual signal lamp indications for bank Changeover.
58(e) The control panel will be covered with aesthetically suitable cover for safe operation indicating the respective services.
59(f) Control panel will have built in protection system to ensure safe operation by low voltage and all protections of surge, overload and earthfault. The Control panel shall include two pressure relief valves, one high pressure and one low pressure.
60(g) The panel should have the capacity to withstand maximum operating pressure of 220 bar for safety purposes.

62Supply, Installation, testing and commissiong of Copper Piping of following dia (at ser no 54.03 to 54.05)and thickness with complete fittings/fixtures as per technical specification and BS: 13348 and as mentioned below all as directed by Engineer-in-charge:- (a) Installation of piping should be carried out as per approved medical standards with utmost cleanliness. (b) Only pipes, fittings and valves which have been degreased as per approved medical standards should be used . (c) Pipe fixing clamps for all diameter pipes. (d) Pipes should be non ferrous suitable for the diameter of the pipe and wherever required rigid metallic hanging or cemented supports to be used. (e) The main lines to the building to be taken overhead through heavy grade metallic poles or GI tubes with inspection pointsin metallic boxes wherever required . Adequate supports shall be provided while laying pipelines to ensure that the pipes do not sag. (f) All copper pipes and fittings should be made of phosphorous de-oxidized, non arsenic, and fully degreased.All pipes should be of Copper and copper alloys Seamless, solid drawn round copper tubes for Medical gases or vacuum. Suitable sleeves shall be provided wherever pipes cross through walls / slabs. All pipe clamps shall be non-reactive to copper.
63(g) All pipe joints should be made using inert gas fluxless brazing method. (h) All brazed joints in the piping shall be made up using brazing filler metals that bond with the base metals being brazed and that comply with Specification for Brazing Filler Metal, ANSI/AWS A5.8. Copper-to-copper joints shall be made using a copper-phosphorus brazing filler metal (BCuP series) without flux.Dissimilar metals such as copper and brass shall be joined using an appropriate flux with either a copper-phosphorus (BCuP series) or a silver (BAg series) brazing filler metal. Apply flux sparingly to the clean tube only and in a manner to avoid leaving any excess inside of completed joints. All joints should be of copper to copper and should be brazed brazing filler material without flux while being brazed joints shall be continuously purged with oil free dry nitrogen to prevent the formation of copper oxide on the inside surface of the joint. (j) All pipes should be installed without springing or forcing. (k)All pipes should be protected against mechanical injury in a manner satisfactory to authorities having jurisdiction. (l) Painting: All existing and proposed exposed pipes/should be painted with two coats of Synthetic enamel paint & color codification as per IS : 2379 of 1963. and approved medical standards. (m)All pipe clamp shall be non-reactive to copper.After erection the pipe should be flushed and then pressure tested with dry air at a pressure equal to 1.5 times of the working Pressure or 150 psig, whichever is higher for a period of not less than 24 hours in presence of medical authority/ MES authorities.
64(n) All copper pipes should be inspected and certified for medical use before dispatch and the pipe should be delivered plugged or capped at both ends. Notes: (i) The tenderer shall design & submit complete layout drawings with proper colour code, fittings, fixtures complete for approval of GE or rep of accepting Officer before placing order and the quoted rate includes for the same. (ii) The quoted rate inclusive of all mechanical protections with metallic pipes to pipe required. 72Notes for items in Sl Nos. 50 to 56: The quoted rate shall be inclusive for the following:- (a) The Contractor shall provide comprehensive on-site warranty (Including All Spares, Accessories and Labour) for a period of 3 years from the date of final acceptance of the complete system after successful and complete installation and commissioning with regular updation of newer technology as and when evolved. (b) The Contractor shall, depute trained manpower tomaintain manifold and medical gas pipeline system in case of any breakdowns within 24 Hrs. The technical maintenance personnel of the Contractor shall beresponsible for supervision and maintenance shall be available to reach the site(s) within 1 hour"s notice. (c)If the performance of any individual equipment or system is not satisfactory, the same shall be replaced by the contractor free of cost.
73(d) If it is found that to meet the performance criteria, any extra equipment is required the same will be provided free of cost by the contractor. (e) All faults appearing and their rectification shall be periodically advised to the hospital, the period being not more than a month. (f) Any lacuna or lacunae noticed in the functioning of the installation as a result of any design feature shall be rectified by thecontractorfree of cost. (g) The Contractor shall fully associate the engineers and technicians forMH Ambala during installation, testing, commissioning, operation and maintenance period. The testing of the entire system shall be carried out in the presence of GE / AGE and Officer rep (Min 02 Nos.) from Hospital authorities. (h) The Contractor shall train the staff of MH Ambala the operation of complete medical gas and oxygen plant system fopr a period of two weeks. (j) The Contractor shall submit MOU with authorised Medical Service engineer/ registered Bio medicalengineer services experienced in the relevant field for not less than 5 yearsimmediately before placing work order. (k) All electrical wiring/cables,cable tray, earthing, Control panels, connected electrical & pipeline distribution systemwith all connected accessories of complete medical gas system and oxygen plant system is deemed to be included in the quoted rates.
74(l) The MGPS system installation shall be deemed to have been completed only on satisfactory performance of the MGPS system and acceptance of the satisfactory test results by the representative detailed by the Accepting Officer. In case of any failure during the testing the contractor shall be responsible to carryout necessary rectification/replacement of defective items/system parts thereof as directed by the Garrison Engineer immediately next day at no extra cost to Government.The decision of the GE shall be final and binding in this regard. The installation shall be re-tested after rectification/ replacement of the defective components, the installation/ equipments shall be finally taken over after the contractor has given satisfactory test as certified by the GE.
75(m) The entire installation (after satisfactory completion of all tests and taking over) shall be deemed to be guaranteed by the contractor for efficient performance for thirty six months from the certified date of completion of work. In case of any fault arising during this period the contractor shall do the rectification/ replacement of defective parts, as the case may be, on his own expense. The defect liability period referred to in condition 46 of IAFW- 2249 (General condition of contracts) for the purpose of this contract, shall be deemed to be the period covered by the guarantee given by the contractor.

Note - Punned thickness 18cm of sand layer shall only be measured and paid to contractor.

(iii) Panel drawing shall be got approved before placing of orderfrom Engr-in-Charge/GE.
