23SUB HEAD 3- PREPARATORY WORK
24Providing and fixing double scaffolding system (cup lock type) on the exterior side, up to seven storey height made with 40 mm dia. M.S. tube 1.5 m centre to centre, horizontal & vertical tubes joining with cup & lock system with M.S. tubes, M.S. tube challies, M.S. clamps and M.S. staircase system in the scaffolding for working platform etc. and maintaining it in a serviceable condition for the required duration as approved and removing it there after. The scaffolding system shall be stiffened with bracings, runners, connection with the building etc. wherever required for inspection of work at required locations with essential safety features for the workmen etc. complete as per directions and approval of Engineer-in-Charge. The elevational area of the scaffolding shall be measured for payment purpose. The payment will be made once irrespective of duration of scaffolding.

38Providing Treatment at points of contact of wood work by chemical emulsion Chlorpyriphos/ Lindane (in oil or kerosene based solution) @ 0.5 liters per hole by drilling 6 mm dia holes at downward angle of 45 degree at 150 mm center to center and sealing the same as directed by the engineer in charge.
39SUB HEAD 5- STUCTURAL REPAIRS
40Manually removal of vegetation (major trees, climbing plants, creepers) from walls, columns, arches, floor etc in a skilled and careful manner, using appropriate tools and means and without causing any damage to the adjoining parts, including carrying and stacking the dismantled materials including lift/lower upto 11mtrs and lead upto 50 mtrs as directed by the engineer or architect in charge. The exposed surfaces will be coated with a paste made from ammonium sulphamate crystals or with "Tree killer" available in market. In this condition the root system may be left to absorb and die. (Note : Large sections of dead wood must Not be left within the core. As they decay they will remove support and create voids and weaknesses in the wall. Pull off a well-established mat of vegetation must be resisted)
41Steel-rod stitching incracked stone patties, beam,and lintels.Providing and fixing of 10mm dia 316 grade stainless steel rods of 90 cms of which 15cm on either side and cold bending at 90 degrees. The stainless steel clamps to be fixed perpendicular to the crack by drilling in stone and fixing withquartz sand (1:3) and araldite mixture in such a way that the entire length of the rod is in complete contact of the stone and the bent ends are fully inserted in the cracked stone as per requirement of position as directed by Engineer-in- Charge. Note : Payment will be made on the completion of the whole process of work.

43Providing and inserting 12 mm dia galvanized iron injection nipples along crack lines in masonry work, including. i) drilling holes of required diameter up to depths from 30mm to 80mm or half the thickness of member (whichever is less), at required spacing but Not exceeding the thickness of member or 300 mm.ii) Making grooves of size 12mm x 12mm along the crack line.iii) Making the crack dust free by blowing compressed air and then washing with water. iv) Sealing the distance between the injection nipples with approved putty (Polymer modified lime mortar /polyester putty/epoxy putty) etc. and allow it to cure. v) If limeitious grout material proposed to be used, washing and saturating the cracked surface with water by pumping from top most nipple and down wards complete as per the direction of Engineer-in-charge.( The rate shall include all material, labour and all operations above. The cost of grout material shall be paid separately on the basis of actual quantity consumed.
44Providing and grouting pre-packed ready to use grout made up of natural hydraulic lime with the addition of natural pozzolona filler, specially designed for use in restoration of old brick/stone masonry. The grout material shall have low (less than 1.5%) water soluble salt content, Elastic modulus not less than 5 GPA and minimum compressive strength of 18 N/sqmm at 28 days.Mix the product by introducing 3/4 of the required water (which is 7-8 liters of 25 kg or as per manufactures specification) into the mixer. Add continuously the product and the remaining water until perfect mixer having a fluid consistency is achieved. Inject the same with gravity or mechanized equipment with pressure not more than 2 kg/sqcm as per site conditions by means of injection technique. The item shall include all cost of materials, machinery and labour etc. complete in all respect. (The payment shall be made on the basis of actual weight of grouted material injected into the cracks /voids as directed by Engineer-in- Charge:
45Repairing of 0.5mm to 5 mm wide open joints / cracks in all types of sand stone masonry work including scrapping of loose jointing material from cracks. The inner side to be filled/pointed with polymer mixed lime mortar(Limepor 100 or equivalent) with wooden trowel and fixing grouting nipple from outer side as directed by Architect. Then apply polymer based lime mortar by injection grouting through 5mm diameter Nozzle through the pre fix nipple up to total thickness of existing stone wall and removing the PVC nipple pipe, lime moratr of mix lime & sand 1:1 mix with polymer using katha or other additives to achieve require matching colour and including cost of all materials, labour, machinery, equipment, curing and cleaning the site as directed by Engineer-in-charge. Item shall be measured by dry mix of lime, sand and polymer in Kg.
46Providing and fixing high tensile 316 grade 8/12 mm dia stainless steel helical bars conforming to BS EN 845-1: 2013 or equivalent international code ,fixing in dry condition across the wall junctions or across the buttresses through stone/brick masonry matrix from external sideat specified interval upto the depth of 1.35m. Minimum ultimate tensile strength shall be 1000 N/sqmmand minimum tensile load capacity of 30 KN. Drill 8/12 mm pilot hole to a depth at least 15 mm longer than length of the tie; use 10 mm bit for hard masonry. Insert driving shank of the tie into SDS tool and hammer home using a light to medium-weight SDS drill. Patch pilot hole with colour matched mortar all as per manufractures specification including The rate includes making pilot hole of required depth , driving the bars and finishing the head with matching mortar complete as per manufacturers specifications complete in all respect as per instructions of Engineer In-charge.
47Chipping of unsound/weak concrete material from slabs, beams, columns etc. for 50 mm average thickness with manual Chisel and/ or by standard power driven percussion type or of approved make including tapering of all edges, making square shoulders of cavities including cleaning the exposed concrete surface and reinforcement with wire brushes etc. and disposal of debris for all lead and lifts all complete as per direction of Engineer-In-Charge.
48Cleaning upto 12 mm dia reinforcement bars from rust from the reinforcing bars to give it a total rust free steel surface by using alkaline chemical rust remover of approved make with paint brush and removing loose particles after 24 hours of its application with wire brush and thoroughly washing with water and allowing it to dry, all complete as per direction of Engineer-In-Charge.
49Providing, mixing and applying bonding coat of epoxy bonding adhesive having coverage 2.20 sqm/kg of approved make on chipped portion of RCC as per specifications and direction of Engineer-In-charge complete in all respect.
50Providing, mixing and applying 50 mm average thickness in 3 layers SBR polymer (of approved make) modified Cement mortar in proportion of 1:4 (1 cement: 4 graded coarse sand with polymer minimum 2% by wt. of cement used) as per specifications and directions of Engineer-in-charge. Note: Measurement and payment: The pre-measurement of thickness shall be done just after the surface preparation is completed and Payment under this item shall be made only after proper wet curing has been done and surface has been satisfactorily evaluated by sounding / tapping with a blunt metal instrument and/or the 75mm size cube crushing strength at the end of 28 days to be Not less than 30 N/Sqmm2).
