5 | 1.04 | (D) PROCESS DESCRIPTIONS : In order to conserve water, the treatment plant shall be verified to ensure that treated effluent (water) characteristics are well below the permissible limits, even under varying flow conditions which are typical for such systems. This implies that the selected process shall be able to withstand the stock load situation. It is proposed to use aerobic treatment system working on the principle of attached growth concept using MBBR bioreactors. The treatment plant shall be designed with a capacity to handle 200 KL/day of wastewater. Wastewater will flow via pumping system from an existing sewage well into setling tank. Sewage will be discharge from setling tank to the bar screen chamber by gravity. Automatic level controller shall be provided in the sewage collection sump pit to turn the pump off at the low sewage level in the sump pit and to start the pump automatically when water level is high in the sump pit in case water level in sump pit continues to increase. The second submersible pump shall start automatically till the water level in the sump pit attains normal level. In case the sewer is collected first in the sewage collection sump pit instead of equalization tank, a continuous increase in water level(in case of failure of pumps) will trigger a high level alarm, indicating pumping problems.\n | |||
6 | 1.05 | (E) BAR SCREEN : Bar screen should be so designed that it can be cleaned manually there shall be minimum two bar screen to facilitate the cleaning of the bar at designed interval of time. The raw sewage from bar tank waste water from bar screen chamber shall flow by gravity into equalization tank. In equalizing tank the variations in flow and characteristics are dampened, which otherwise can lead to operational problems and moreover it allows a constant flow condition by means of coarse air bubble diffusion.The equalized sewage from equalization tank shall be then pumped into the MBBR(Moving Bed Bio Reactor where BOD/COD reduction is achieved by virtue of aerobic microbial activities ). The oxygen required will be supplied through coarse air bubble diffusers.\nFrom the MBBR reactors this effluent passes into the secondary tube settler/clarifier. The primary and secondary tube settler/clarifier as per design requirement shall be provided with overflow weir to collect the treated effluent and scum baffle shall keep any floating matter from passing out in the final treated water for the fixed media system. The tube settler to be designed in fin on the basis of rate velocity of 2CUM/hour and 12MWC in clarifier. 8 | 1.07 | (G) BLOWERS AND AERATION SYSTEM :The treatment plant shall be provided with rotary positive displacement blowers with a common base and a central electric control panel belt drive system drip proof induction type electric motor necessary valves and intake and discharge silencing. Each blower motor unit shall be housed in an enclosure. All piping and related accessories necessary to connect the blowers to the plant air header shall be provided by the plant manufacturer. All air piping from the blower motor unit to the air header shall be approved G.I pipe the dia of G.I.Pipe from pump to header shall be 80 mm heavy grade.
