1 1 NOTE FOR ITEM NO 2 below:\n(i) The contractor shall make payment to the trademen employee directy (online) to the employees saving bank linked with Aadhar no. The minimum wages prescribed by State Govt. or Central Govt. whichever is more shall be paid & monthly payment sheet shall be submitted duly signed by contractor and JE E/M to AGE(I) for verification.\n(ii) The employees are entitled for EPF (no limit is here by declared all employees shall be given EPF) and ESI as per the laid down percentage including all safety precautions shall be provided by the contractor.\n(iii) In case of requirement tradesmen provided for one area may be utilized in other areas at the discretion of the department without any extra cost to department as directed by AGE(I).\n(iv) Rate quoted is deemed to be included for reserves staff required to be employed during leave/off the staff employed \n(v) The rate quoted shall be deemed to be included for providing Log books & Stationery for all above mentioned installations\n(vi) EPF & ESI for the workmen employed shall be made by the contractor\n(vii) The duties /performance of tradesmen/ workmen shall be checked and ensured by the Contractor time to time and the contractor shall be fully responsible for efficient functioning services\n(viii) The contractor shall be responsible for safe custody of Departmental equipments. \n(ix) The contractor is here by advised to collect minimum fair wages of State Govt. and Central Govt.and payment to the employee shall be credited as per the notification which ever comes higher and also EPF & ESI instructions and its percentage to be remitted shall be ascertained clearly and fully be aware of rate to be quoted for each shift as specified against each items in BOQ including contractors overhead and profit percentage. The contractor will held responsible for the above said provisions. The unit rate quoted is deem to be included for all the provisions as detailed above, irrespective of what contractor has quoted ignorently,nothing will be entertained by the department at a later stage.\n
2 2 Maintanance and Operation of DG sets of 7.5KVA , 25 KVA, 75 KVA and 82.50 KVA at IT Flt, Signal Flt and AFNET and 82.5 KVA in Mukharjee hall including connected LT /AMF Panels at AFAC in three shift i.e 0600 HRS to 1400 HRS, 1400 HRS to 2200 HRS and 2200 HRS to 0600 HRS by employing 01 (One) FGM per shift including Sunday and holidays all as directed by Engr-in-Charge. Note :-1. The Instructions for Daily/weekly/monthly routine maintanance of DG Set will be given by Engineerr-in-Charge as per the standard norms. 2. The rate quoted shall be inclusive of the cost of consumables items like cotton waste, cleaning cloth, battery electrolyte, distilled water, grease, etc, necessary nuts/bolts/washers, lubricant water etc for smooth functioning of the installations. 3. The rate quoted by contractor is inclusive to providing tools (such as spanner set, cutting plier, box spanner set, tester, screw driver etc) and two set of uniform with logo, safety helmet, shoe for electrician/FGM 4. The operator shall maintain the generator room neat and tidy all as directed by Engineerr-in-Charge. \n 1002 Per Shift
3 3 Comprehensive maintenance of DG sets and AMF Panels of respective DG Sets of 100 KVA = 01 No (Raw water pump house), 82.5 KVA = 1 No (6 AFH), 62.5 KVA = 01 No ( Siruvani pump house), 40 KVA = 01 No. (30 Single Offrs) and 25 KVA =01 No (43 Single Offrs) installed at AFAC location as mentioned, for routine/preventive maintenance checks fortnightly by checking up of engine and alternator for trouble free functioning and attending break downs/ complaints as and when required for smooth functioning, servicing (Oil Changing of DG sets once in contract period) as directed by Engineer-in-charge. \nThe comprehensive maintenance includes the following works:-
4 3.01 Terms and conditions for item No 03 is as under:-
5 3.02 Cleaning the DG set complete including panel boards with clean cotton wastes, checking of lubrication systems, checking of fuel systems, checking of air systems, checking of cooling systems and any other leakages.
6 3.03 Top up the distilled water, apply petroleum jelly to battery terminals ,check acid density of the battery by means of hydrometer to recharge the battery if necessary and to run the engine and to watch sound level, noise and smooth functioning and to record the parameter like LOP, LOT, WT, AMPs, volts, Hz, RPM etc.
7 3.04 The contractor’s service technician shall possess certificate from the industrial training institute of any state in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering and should have sufficient knowledge in the relevant field of DG set and AMF panel.
8 3.05 Cleaning of air filter, Checking, tightening all electrical connections.
9 3.06 Checking and adjusting of valve tappet clearance, Checking, tightening all contact points/Bus bars.
10 3.07 Checking of Engine lubrication system, fuel system, air system, cooling system, mechanical adjustments/rectification and electrical system, Checking, setting/replace timers (AC or DC).
11 3.08 Changing of lubricant oil filter if necessary, Checking/replace push buttons.
12 3.09 Changing/cleaning of fuel pre and fine filter. Checking/replace selector switches.
13 3.1 Checking and tightening of bolts and nuts. Checking/ replace indicator lamps.
14 3.11 Checking of flexible rubber coupling. Checking/ replace main, auxillary contactors, relays
15 3.12 Checking of charging system of the battery. Checking/replace contactor coils
16 3.13 Checking of ‘V’ belt and adjusting the tension. Checking/replace volt/amp/energy /PF/KWH/ multifunction meters/CT's
17 3.14 Checking of exhaust turbo charger. Checking Auto/manual function.
18 3.15 Checking of fuel injector. Checking, tightening the screws, bolts and any other fastening accessories.
19 3.16 Checking and cleaning of breather pipe. Checking battery charger and its output. Cleaning the panels, contactors, MCCB/ MCB terminals, removing the carbon deposits by using CTC as cleaning agent.
20 3.17 Checking of alternator terminals and cable lighteners etc. Checking/replace the alarms/hooters
21 3.18 Checking of safety controls operation. Checking/replace control wiring, ferrules, lugs (copper/aluminium)
22 3.19 Checking of speed governors and engine shut down for proper functioning. Proper settings of AVR/IEVR etc
23 3.2 Checking of proper functioning of self starter and battery charging.
24 3.21 Greasing of generator. To check insulation resistance test between phase and earth, phase to phase for starter and rotar windings and to apply appropriate insulating varnish if dried up etc.
25 3.22 Carrying out preventive maintenance, checking as per manufacturer’s recommendations and to make proper functioning/serviceability of unserviceable RPM meter and hour meter and all engine parameters, gauges throughout the contract period all as directed by Engineer in Charge

32 3.29 Notes for all items of item No. 3 to 3.28 above:-\nThe comprehensive maintenance includes carrying out preventive maintenance including replacing all the unserviceable/ worn out minor/major spares to keep the the DG set for trouble free functioning. These servicing deem to be inclusive of making always functional/serviceable condition the panels and if required replacing of unserviceable voltmeter, ammeter, frequency meter, battery charging/trickle Amp/ Volt meter, all indicator lamps, contactors, relays, timers and all selector switches, CT’s of appropriate ratio and fuses etc. throughout the contract period which shall be measured and paid under relevent items and also cleaning the carbon deposition and oxidation in the contactors in panel board with CTC fortnightly complete all as directed by Engineer-in-charge.
33 3.3 Note 2:- Contractor's labour has to attend the breakdown at any time during the contract period.
34 3.31 Note 3:- The rate quoted deemed to include all the minor spares such as screws, clips washers, distilled water, electrolyte etc and other spares will be measured and paid separately under appropriate items of BOQ here in after.
35 4 Supply only set of fuel pre-filters and fine filters as per sample and make of the following capacities of DG sets (fixing under srl item No 03) :- \nNote 1: Each set comprising of the complete pre/fine filters required at site.\nNote 2: Cost of fixing of all supply only items included under item No 3
