Tender For Design & Supply Of Pru Compablocs -Fab and supply of compabloc ov Long Description: 1. Detailed engineering, design, fabrication & supply of compabloc overhead condenser,7 E104 in PRUAgency shall carry out detailed engineering study, design, fabrication and supply one no. plate heat Exchanger for salt water service as per EIL process data sheet A020-07-02- DS-1404 (pages 1 to 6 of 6) with following improvements: a) Vendor to design the PHE (plate heat exchanger ) for 20 years of design life .b) Carryout all necessary mechanical integrity calculation/FEM analysis for entire PHE which includes vulnerable areas like baffle, tie rod, girder, liner plate welds, end panel etc. and incorporate the design improvement to prevent failure.c) The PHE shall be designed to suit , mostly as per the existing pipingand fit in existing space. ( drawing showing the existing dimensions isattached ), only Minor modification in the dimensions may be a accepted if newdesign warrants .Please ensure that the base frame , foundation details ,the foot print of the exchanger should not be changed. Only piping modificationcan be accommodated at site, however for any dimensional changes, HPCL approval to be taken prior to finalization of design.The dimensions submitted by the vendor considering the designlife of 20 years will be reviewed wrt available space in siteand approval will be provided by HPCL. c) Consider the sea cooling water fouling & existing basket strainer mesh size for design and to ensure sufficient gap between plates to avoid fouling. Copy of exiting strainer mesh detail is attached. d) Consider the cooling water back flushing min. 1 time on 8 hrs. shift.te) Consider the minimum 12 numbers of startup/shutdown cycles in a yearf) Improve the cover and nozzle gasket design/kammprofile to mitigate the leaks at gasket jointsg) Following issues on existing equipment are to be considered while designing new equipmentto overcome the following present problems 1. Baffle plate weld dislodgement at sea waterside 2. Plate pack to liner plate weld cracks3. Girder area weld HAZ cracks4. Panel connected nozzle cladding seam weld crack5. Side panel liner plate weld cracks at staggered locations 6. Severe algae fouling between the plate packs2. Hydrocarbon inlet is 14X300# and outlet 8X300#, salt water inlet and outlet both are 16X300#. Vendor to design the these nozzle sizes for PHE. 3 All NDT tests are to be carried out as per Drawings and QAP.4. All nozzles shall be fixed with Blind flanges with 100% fasteners. 5. The baffle support element needs to be designed in such a way that even after failure, the same should not rest/fall on plate pack.6. Agency shall supply following spares along with the supply of the equipment : a) gasket of cover and connected flanges - 2 sets b) 20% of cover and flange bolts. c)Titanium baffles – 1 set (for HC and salt water side) d)Cage rod and nuts- 1set (for HC and salt water side) e)Titanium cage- 1 set f)Baffle cage gaskets (Teflon) – 2 sets g)Head cover gaskets (Teflon)- 2 sets , Fab & supply of reboiler,7E105 Long Description: Detailed engineering, Design, fabrication & supply of compabloc overhead condenser,7 E105 in PRU* 1 Agency shall carry out detailed engineering study, design, fabrication and supply one no. plate heat Exchanger for salt water service as per EIL process data sheet A020-07-02-DS-1405 (pages 1 to 6 of 6) with following improvements:to overcome the present problems a) Vendor to design the PHE (plate heat exchanger) for 20 years of design life. b) Carryout all necessary mechanical integrity calculation/FEM analysis for entire PHE which includes vulnerable areas like girder, liner plate welds etc. and incorporate the design improvement to prevent failure. c) The PHE shall be designed to suit , mostly as per the existing piping and fit in existing space. ( drawing showing the existing dimensions is attached ), only Minor modification in the dimensions may be a accepted if new design warrants .Please ensure that the base frame , foundation details , the foot print of the exchanger should not be changed. Only piping modification can be accommodated at site, however for any dimensional changes, HPCL approval to be taken prior to finalization of design. The dimensions submitted by the vendor considering the design life of 20 years will be reviewed wrt available space in site and approval will be provided by HPCL. e) Consider the minimum 12 numbers of startup/shutdown cycles/trips in a year f) Consider the steam side condensate formation and water hammering cases. f) Improve the cover and nozzle gasket design/kammprofile to mitigate the leaks at gasket joints g) Hydrocarbon inlet 24X300# and outlet 20X300#, steam inlet 14X300# and outlet 6X300# h) improve baffle design by additional reinforcement and welding i) improve joint design of liner plate to plate pack and corner weld joints. 2 All NDT tests are to be carried out as per Drawings and QAP. 3 All nozzles shall be fixed with Blind flanges with 100% fasteners. 4 Agency shall supply following spares along with the supply of the equipment : a. Two sets of Cover & Nozzle gaskets. b. 20% bolts of covers and connected nozzles. c)SS cage – 1 set (for HC and steam side) d)Cage rod and nuts- 1set (for HC and steam side) e)Baffle cage gaskets (Teflon) – 2 sets f)Head cover gaskets (Teflon)- 2 sets
