11 10.01 Note:-\nI. The actual volume of the aggregate to be paid for shall be computed after deducting the specified percentage from the volume computed by stacks measurement as per MORT&H Specifications (addendum to latest revision) for the purpose of secured advance. 11
12 10.02 II. The Final grading for the aggregates required for bituminous macadam course Grading-2 for 75mm/ 50mm thickness of each layer conforming to table 500-7 of MORT&H specifications (addendum to latest revision) shall be determined after getting the bituminous macadam grading-2 designed from Punjab PWD (B&R) Research Laboratory Patiala after obtaining 60% of material. The design mix so finally approved by shall be termed as the approved mix. The aggregates shall be hydrophobic and of low porosity. The aggregates shall satisfy the physical requirement set fourth in table 500-6 (addendum to latest revision). 12
13 10.03 III. The mix shall exhibit the following details:- 13
14 10.04 a) Binder expressed as a percentage by weight of total mix. 14
15 10.05 b) Coarse aggregate of 26.5 mm gauge expressed as percentage by weight of total mix. 15
16 10.06 c) Crushed Bajri of 11.2mm size expressed as percentage by weight of total mix. 16
17 10.07 d) Fine aggregates 4.75mm below expressed as percentage by weight of total mix. 17
18 10.08 e). A single definite percentage passing each sieve for mixed aggregates. 18
19 10.09 f) Density of Bituminous Macadam (75mm/ 50mm thick after compaction) shall be minimum 2.2gms/C.C & nothing extra shall be payable if higher density is achieved at site. 19
20 10.1 IV) The contractor thereafter, shall be required to completed the supply of various ingredients or Bituminous macadam as per proportions stipulated in the approved mix. 20
21 10.11 V) Rate of BM shall be quoted by the contractor with respect to binder content percentage by weight of mix being 3.4% if Laboratory design a mix with different Percentage then the difference shall be payable recoverable. 21

24 12.01 TECHNICAL NOTE:-\n(i) Apart from the conformity with the grading and quantity/ requirement of invidual ingredients exhibited above the mix aggregate i.e. Coarse and fine aggregate for Semi Dense Bituminous Concrete shall meet all requirement set forth Clause 505 of MORT&H Specification.\n(ii) The Final Grading for the aggregates required for Semi Dense Bituminous Concrete confirming to table 500.10 of MORT&H specification Conrete designed from determined after getting the Semi Dense Bituminous Concrete designed from Punjab PWD, B&R Research Laboratory Patiala after obtaining 60% of material.
