211 147.04 Details of Power Plants : \n(a) SPV modules shall be designed and manufactured to meet the same recognized standard which must have been used extensively throughtout the world for more than a decade with an excellent track record of performance. SPV modules shall generate a peak power 250 Wp + 0.5 Wp or should be of higher capacity + 0.5 Wp under STC. Each module should have two separate interconnected strings with proper bypass diode(s). Minimum dimension of the SPV module shall be preferred.\n(b) Module Mounting Structure : Module mounting structure to be manufactured with steel angles and channels should be not dip galvanised or spray galvanised\n(c) Foundation : The foundation pedestals wherever necesary shall be concrete\n(d) Junction Box : The junction boxes shall be made up of module cast PVC, dust and vermin proof. 212 147.05 (e) Tool kit : Necessary tool kit is to be provided alongwith each battery bank for any immediate maintenance.\n(f) Distribution Board : Distribution boards shall be used. All MCBs, indicators, energy meters are to be interconnected through copper bus bar and are to be housed in a suitable sized sheet metal, enclosure. The panel board is to be grounded and for this purpose a suitable ground terminal is to be arranged. The panel board shall be coated with good quality paint. The distribution panel board shall be dust and vermin proof. The distribution panel board shall be wall mounted type and of front door opening type. 213 147.06 (h) Earthing protection : Each array structure of the PV yard should be grounded properly. In addition the lightening masts should also be provided inside the array field. Provisions should be kept for shorting and ground of the PV array at the time of maintenance work. All metal\n(j) Lightening & over voltage protection : The SPV power plant should be provided with lightening and over voltage protection. The principles aim in this protection is to reduce the over voltage to a tolerable value before it reaches the PV or other subsystem components. The\n(k) Cables : Size of cables and wires required is given in the schedule of works (Finolux/CCI/ Havells/ V-Mark makes will be preferred). Cables are to be drawn from the SPV yard upto the control room through hard PVC conduit and are to be laid on cable tray which is to be rested on the cement concrete blocks placed at regular interval. All connections must be made through suitable size plug sockets/ terminals crimped or soldered properly and with use of cable glands. All cables shall be marked properly by means of good quality ferrule or by other means so that cable can be easily identified. All cables should be ISI marked.

Note: - 1. Tentatively the shifts will be maintianed as under (a) First shift 0600 hrs to 1400 hrs. (b) Second shift 1400 hrs to 2200 hrs. Note: -2. However the working hours and exact time table for the duration of shifts required shall be as decided by the GE fortnight basis in advance as per operational requirement. 225 152.01 Notes for operation of AC Plants: -(a) the contractor shall employ one skilled AC operator and one unskilled mate having knowledge or AC installation including carrying out all daily maintanance per shift. (b) The operator shall be qualififed and experienced in field with experience not less than two years. (c) Cost of periodical maintanance of various equip,ments/parts shall be deemed to be included in the unit rates quoted. (d) Desired temperature should be maintained strictly. (e) The contracor shall follow the operation and maintanance of manual of the plant. (f) Periodical cleaning and maint including removal of algae from the cooling tower. (g) To clean the area in presentable manner in and around the plant room. (h) To maintain the log sheet as per format provided by the Engineer-in-charge. (j) The shift hours chart for every month shall be as decided by the GE. However contractor is bound to provide the operator as when called for as per ground requirment at short notice by the GE. No claim whatsoever shall be entertained on this account. (k) Penal recovery: -In case if operator is found absent or missing from duty the alternate arrangement shall be made by the GE with intimation to the contractor. Under such circumstances the recovery at double the quoted rate shall be recovered from the contractor's payments.
