Quotation Are Invited For Internal And External Coating Of Booster Pump Casing 1032202517 Internal Externalrfx Description Internal And External Coating Of Booster Pump Casing For Khawaneej Goulds Pump 1 Item-00001 Internal & External Blasting And Coating Of Booster Pump Casing For Khawaneej Goulds Pump. Pump Details: Make- Aversa, Model-Sda 400 / 500B (Horizontal), Capacity-525 Lit/Sec. Please Contact Mr. Suhail (050-4515989) For Further Clarifications. Specification For In Ternal Coating Of Pumps/ Valves General These Pumps & Valves Are Used In Water Booster Pumping Stations. The Fluid Handled By These Pumps Is Potable Water Of Maximum Temperature Up To 50 0C. Normally The Water Is Clean But Some Time It Is Noticed To Have Sand And Solids In Stream From Pipeline. These Pumps Are In Operation Since Commissioning Of The Station. Scope Of Work Collectio N & Transportation The Contractor Shall Collect The Pump Casing Through Suitable Pickup/Crane Mounted Truck From Ems Workshop At Aw Eer. The Contractor Pickup Shall Have Suitable And Safe Lifting Sling/Belt Of Sufficient Load Capacity. Loading And Unloading Of Pum P Casing To Be Carried Out By Contractor. Surface Preparation Before Applying Any Coating, The Contractor Has To Do Necessary Sur Face Preparation By Sand Or Grit Blasting Or Any Other Suitable Mechanical System To Remove All Rust & Loose Materials. After Sand B Lasting The Contractor Has To Intimate Dewa Engineer For Inspection Of The Surface Before Applying Any Coating. During Sandblasting It Is Required To Protect All Machined Surface, Seat Area And All Other Critical Areas And Parts From Damage By Suitable Method. Bu Ildup/ Filling Of Erroded/Pitted Surface The Supplier Has To Buildup Eroded Surface By Suitable Composite Materials Up To O Riginal Level Before Applying Any Coating. The Composite Material Shall Have The Following Properties: #The Curried Composite Must Be Suitable For Continuous Immersion In The Following Chemicals At 21 0C (70 0F): Ferric Chloride, 10% Hydrochloric Acid, 10% Sulfu Ric Acid, 5% Nitric Acid, 50% Sodium Hydroxide And 28% Ammonium Hydroxide. #The Composite Shall Show No Blisters When Exposed To De -Mineralized Water In An Astm C 868 Corrosion Test At 43 0C (110 0 F) For A Minimum Period Of 6 Months. #Adhesion Of The Composite Per Astm D1002 Shall Be Greater Than 183 Kg/Cm2 (2,600 Psi) #The Curved Composite Must Meet Or Exceed The Following Physical Requir Ements: Compressive Strength (Astm D 695) 914 Kg/Cm2 (13,000 Psi). Tensile Strength (Astm D 638) 431 Kg/Cm2 (6,136 Psi) Flexural St Rength (Astm D 790) 620 Kg/Cm2 (8,800 Psi) Flexural Modulus (Astm D 790) 6.9 X 104 Kg/Cm2 (9.87 X 105Psi). During The Phases Of Surface Preparation, Application, And Curing, Environmental Conditions Will Require Careful Monitoring And May Require Supplemental Controls. Critical Areas Of Concern Are Relative Humidity, Dew Point, Surface Temperature Of The Substrate, And Air Purity. Contract Or Shall Carryout All The Procedures In A Controlled Environment In Accordance With The Latest Standards And Procedures. Final Inte Rnal Coating After Surface Preparation And Filling Up The Eroded Surface It Is Required To Apply The Ceramic Reinforced Composite M Aterials For Final Coating. The Composite Coating Materials Shall Have Following Properties: #The Cured Composite Must Be Suitable For Continuous Immersion In The Following Chemicals At 210C(700F): Ferric Chloride, 10% Hydrochloric Acid, 10% Sulfuric Acid, 5% Ni Tric Acid, 50% Sodium Hydroxide And 28% Ammonium Hydroxide. #The Composite Must Exceed 10,000 Hrs In An Astm B 117 Salt Fog Test ( Scored) With No Signs Of Under Film Corrosion At The Score. #The Composite Must Pass Astm G 8 Cathodic Disbandment Test For Not Le Ss Than 60 Days. #The Composite Shall Show No Blisters When Exposed To Demineralized Water In An Astm C 868 Corrocell Test At 430C (1100F) For A Minimum Period Of 6 Months. #Adhesion Of The Composite Per Astm D 4541 Shall Be Greater Than 140 Kg/Cm2 (2,000 Psi) . #The Linear Co-Efficient Of Thermal Expansion (Astm C 531) Shall Not Exceed 5.0 X 10-5 Cm/Cm/0C (2.8 X 10-5 In/In/0F) #Thickne Ss Of Coating 800-1000 Microns. #Surface Finishing Of The Coating Shall Be Smooth Glass Surface Finished And Abrasion Resistant. #The Cured Composite Must Meet Or Exceed The Following Physical Requirements: Compressive Strength: (Astm D 695) 844 Kg/Cm2 (12,000 Psi) Tensile Strength: (Astm D 638) 240 Kg/Cm2 (3,420 Psi) Flexural Strength: (Astm D 790) 562 Kg/Cm2 (8,000Psi) #The Composite Shall Be Authorized For Usda Application For Incidental Food Contact. #The Composite Is Required To Have Potable W Ater Certification From International/Local Authorities, Wras (Water Regulatory Advisory Society). External Coating Epox Y Powder Coating In Blue Colour At Least 300-400 Micron Thick For Both Pumps And Valves. All Necessary Surfaces Preparations To Be D One Before Coating. Warranty The Supplier Has To Provide At Least 24 Months Of Service Warranty Against Any Damage/ Defec Ts For The Coating. If The Coating Is Found To Fail Within This Period The Supplier Has To Recoat The Equipment At Free Of Charge To Dewa. Method Statement The Supplier Has To Provide Method Statement Of Coating And Material Details Along With Their Offer For T Echnical Evaluation And Approval. Inspection At Site Before Delivery Of Coated Pumps/Valves, The Coating Works To Be Inspected By Dewa Engineer At Supplier Workshop For Final Acceptance. Contractor Shall Provide With All Required Necessary Inspection Tools As Required On Site. Reports & Documents During Delivery The Following Documents To Be Submitted. 1.#Material Data Sheet. 2.#Photo Of Casing Before And After Coating. 3.#Waras Certificate For Coating Materials. 4.#All Test Reports.
