(NU/1727) Campus Wide Solar PV Installation Projectdescription As Part Of The Newcastle University's Carbon Reduction Strategy, And In Pursuit Of Our Net Zero By 2030 Target, We Are Seeking To Install And Commission Campus Wide Roof Mounted Solar PV Arrays. The University Is Looking To Appoint A Main Contractor To Deliver A Turnkey Solution, Following The Estates Detailed Performance Specification. The Performance Specification Has Been Compiled Using Evidence And Information Gathered From Phases 1 And 2 Of The PV Scheme. The Project Scope Will Consist Of: The Enabling Works; PV Design And Installation. 50 Sites Have Been Identified As Feasible Locations For Solar PV In This Project. The Works Will Include The Preparation For Each Building To Receive PV, E.G. Scaffold Access, Asbestos Removal, Installation Of Permanent Edge Protection Etc. And The Design And Installation Of The PV System, Compatible With Those Already Installed On 5 Buildings As Part Of Pilot Phases 1 And 2. The Project Will Be Completed In 3 Phases And The University Will Decide Which Buildings Will Be Included In Each Phase Of The Works.
