Expression Of Interest Are Invited For Consultancy Services For Geologist Or Geotechnical Specialist Member Of Panel Of Experts The Geologist Or Geotechnical Specialist Shall Possess The Following Attributes A Minimum Of A University Degree In Geology Geotechnical Engineering Or Other Relevant Engineering Disciplines And Advanced Degrees Are Preferred The Geologist Must Have At Least 20 Years Of Professional Experience Relevant To The Assignment In At Least 10 Countries Experience In The Type Of Geological Conditions Of The Foundation Of The Dam Site Associated Structures And Reservoir This Is Particularly Important For Ensuring The Foundation Condition And The Design Of Treatment Works Such As Curtain Consolidation Grouting And Drainage System The Specialist Shall Have Comprehensive Experience In Geotechnical Engineering Related To Dam Foundations Abutment Tunneling Rock Slope Stabilization Etc Additional Experience With The African Rift Geology Will Be Beneficial Must Have International Experience Including If Possible In Sub Saharan Africa Previous Experience In World Bank Panels Is Preferred And Familiarity With World Bank Policies Is A Must
