Request for Expression of Interest for Technical Audit Consultancy TAC Services for Rehabilitation and Upgrading to 2 lanes 2 lane with paved shoulders 4 lane configuration from single intermediate lane and strengthening of stretches of various National Highways in the states of Rajasthan Himachal Pradesh Uttar Pradesh and Andhra Pradesh under Green National Highways Corridor Projects GNHCP with the loan assistance of World Bank on EPC mode The objective of the GNHCP is to demonstrate safe and green National Highway corridors in selected States and enhance the institutional capacity of the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways in mainstreaming safety and green technologies The three components of the project include Component A Upgradation and post construction maintenance for 5 10 years of about 781 3 km of specially selected existing National Highways in the states of Rajasthan Himachal Pradesh Uttar Pradesh and Andhra Pradesh as Green Highways under an estimated 23 civil works and about 14 consultancy contracts and include pilots demonstrating resource efficiency climate resilience green and safety aspects These highways will be designed and implemented as corridors to remove choke points and support seamless movement of traffic The design and contract documents and the Environmental Management Plans that would be prepared for these pilot corridors could serve as models for the rest of the BPP Component B Institutional Capacity Enhancement component which will support the capacity enhancement of MoRTH in its pursuit to conserve natural resources and improve climate vulnerability of the National Highways network and reduce GHG emissions inter alia by developing policies and guidelines and mainstreaming green technologies climate resilience and safety aspects in the design construction and maintenance of highways as well as support for the implementation of enterprise resource planning ERP solution in MoRTH and its implementing agencies andComponent C The Road Safety component to support mainstreaming of safety interventions through capacity enhancement of MoRTH in road safety management inter alia in the areas of crash database operationalization of the lead agency for road safety strengthening safety enforcement and emergency medical response on the National Highways capacity building and training
