Procurement SpecialistTemane Regional Electricity ProjectBank s African Development Fund AfDF the Norwegian Trust Fund and the OPEC Fund for International Development OFID to support the Temane Transmission Project TTP or the Project a critical infrastructure component of the Temane Regional Electricity Project The estimated total cost of the Project is approximately 500 million USD Each of IDA IsDB AfDB and OFID are referred to herein as a Financier and collectively the Financiers The Implementing Agency for the TTP is Electricidade de Mozambique EDM through its wholly owned subsidiary Sociedade Nacional de Transporte de Energia STE STE is independently staffed and resourced to take on the necessary scope of work to develop implement and operate the TTP infrastructure either by use of its own resources including long term staff secondments from EDM or through arms length contractual arrangements with 3rd party consultants and contractors STE Corporate GovernanceSTE is managed by a Board of Directors who control the operations of the Company through service and operational departments In compliance with Articles 154 155 and 156 of the Mozambique Commercial Code STE established a Supervisory Board The Supervisory Board is responsible for oversight of STE s corporate and financial reporting The Project consists of the following major components Substations and related equipment such as transformers etc o Construction of a substation in Vilanculos 400 110kV o Construction of a substation in Chibuto 400 275kV o Construction of a substation in Matalane 400 66kV o Extension of the Maputo substation 400kV Overhead electrical transmission powerlines o Construction of the 340km Vilanculos Chibuto section o Construction of the 180km Chibuto Matalane section o Construction of the 43km Matalane Maputo section Support for the coordination capacity building administration procurement financial management monitoring and evaluation including audits of the Project
