Preparation of the Karakalpakstan and Khorezm Water Supply and Sanitation ProjectThe project will include the following components and the procurement that requires international competition for this Project will commence in July 2021 will include the following The grant for project preparation includes the preparation of a feasibility study economic and financial analysis procurement advisory services and preparation of environment and social instruments according to the Bank s policies for investments in water supply and sewerage in two regions This will contribute to reach timely implementation of the investment activities in water supply and sewerage infrastructure of cities and districts of Republic of Karakalpakstan and Khorezm region The projects water supply measures include rehabilitation including reduction of water losses and new construction of water production treatment and distribution facilities The project also includes new sewage systems for the district centers of Republic of Karakalpakstan and Khorezm region to provide centralized wastewater treatment services In addition project includes incremental cost for the Project Coordination Unit
