Dynamometer Replacement For Hd 5 With The Option To Relocate And Install Old Hd 5 Dynamometer To Hd 1 Option For Dynamometer Controller And Option For Torque Sensor The Acquisition Of This Commercial Item Will Be Set Aside As A Total Small Business And Will Be Processed In Accordance With Far Parts 12 13 Amp 17 The North American Industry Classification System Naics Code Is 334516 Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing With A Size Standard Of 1 000 Employees The Product Service Code Psc Is 6640 Laboratory Equipment And Supplies The Purpose Of This Procurement Is To Provide A Dynamometer Transformer S Controller Instrumentation And Related Hardware And Software System That Extends The Existing Range Of Epa S Heavy Duty Engine Compliance Testing Capability To Include Larger And More Powerful Engines Than Are Presently Testable While Preserving The Low Power End Of Our Existing Capability The Engines To Be Tested Are Primarily On Road And Non Road Diesel Engines In The 150 500 Kw Range The System Must Be Installed In Nvfel S Heavy Duty Engine Test Site 5 Hd5 The System Must Comply With 40 Cfr Part 1065 And The Statement Of Work The Epa Nvfel Plans To Enhance The Capability Of Engine Testing Operations To Include A Broader Range Of Engines There Is A Need To Examine The Compliance Of Larger Diesel Engines These Are Primarily On Road And Nonroad Diesel Engine Applications And Are Used In For Example Heavy Duty Trucks Vocational Vehicles Agriculture Equipment Construction Equipment Generators And Marine Applications Gasoline Engines May Also Be Tested These Engines Are Regulated Under 40 Cfr Parts 86 1036 1039 1042 1045 And 1048 The Dynamometer Must Consist Of A Single Absorber And Must Not Employ Any Type Of Gearbox To Alter Its Torque Speed Characteristics The Dynamometer Used Must Be Ac Type And Must Utilize The Latest Technology In Variable Frequency Vectored Line Regenerative Ac Motor Absorbers That Have Been Interfaced With A
