Conduct for Suppliers 2014 as amended from time to time Submitting a proposal in response to this RFP constitutes an acceptance of the terms indicated herein and of the terms of each of these documents and the Global Fund reserves the right to reject the proposal of any entity or individual as the case may be that fails or refuses to comply with or accept such terms This RFP shall not be construed as a contract or a commitment of any kind This RFP in no way obligates the Global Fund to award a contract nor does it commit the Global Fund to pay any costs or expenses incurred in the preparation or submission of proposals Option to Extend The Global Fund intends to award a contract s for the period specified in this RFP The Global Fund may subject to the agreement of the parties extend the se contract s for an additional period up to two times the period stated in this RFP or any fraction of that time The se contract s may be extended subject to good performance on the part theglobalfund org shall invalidate such Bidder s proposal to this RFP Attachment AStatement of WorkBackground HistoryThe Global Fund Provident Fund GFPF was set up in January 2009 forthe exclusive purpose of providing retirement death and disabilitybenefits for employees of the Global Fund and their qualifyingdependents and beneficiaries It has been established as an employeesavings scheme for retirement based benefits where the end benefitprovided is the cash balance contributions and any interest accrued Funding covers retirement and financial support in the event of the deathor disability of a member StructureThe Provident Fund is not established as a separate legal entity from TheGlobal Fund The Provident Fund therefore shares all the privileges andimmunities that are enjoyed by The Global Fund itself under the terms ofits Headquarters Agreement with the Swiss Federal Council and otherlaws and any other similar agreements or arrangements that may be ineffect from time to time These privileges and immunities exempt theProvident Fund and its assets from inter alia taxation and pensionregulations in Switzerland and other applicable countries However the Provident Fund assets are segregated from all other assetsof The Global Fund and are restricted for use wholly and exclusively forthe stated purpose of Provident Fund in accordance with rules andprocedures established for its operation The assets of the GFPF are currently deposited with a custodian bank FinancialsThe Provident Fund s liability is denominated in CHF which is theProvident Fund s reference currency A majority of investments are CHFdenominated or hedged into CHF The value of Provident Fund s assets iscurrently about CHF 180m at year end 2019 invested through acustodian bank in 8 investment funds in the following asset classes sovereign and corporate bonds global equities real estate and emergingmarket debts In addition the Provident Fund maintains a cash balancein CHF Scope ObjectiveThe custodian bank will hold the Provident Fund investments ininvestment funds and provide related services Tasks The Provident Fund is attempting to identify a bank that hasthe ability to operate in multiple currencies3 Online banking platform E banking separate from investmentreporting capability 4 Conditions on CHF balances and balances in other currencies including applicable
