Request for Tender for Request for Quotes for Renovations Storeroom Verandah Associated Works Quorn Community Centre RFQ8 1920Description The Quorn Community Hall at 10 Park Lane Quorn is to be renovated to enable improved community space Site inspection is available by contacting the Project Manager Chris Wright email cgw frc sa gov auThe Quorn Community Hall is situated on site with the Town Oval and Combined Sports Centre It is a pivotal piece of infrastructure for the Quorn community sporting associations and residents alike It is one of the most utilised buildings in the Quorn community and is home to the Quorn Combined Sporting Association Quorn Netball Club Quorn Tennis Club and Quorn Cricket Club All of these clubs access the hall and its facilities It is also used for private events such as weddings funerals birthday celebrations forums and meetings as well as during large events such as the annual Quorn Agricultural Show in its 100th year in 2019 Participants of major events such as the 2018 Flinders Ranges Car Rally use the oval area for overnight camping These campers utilise the Community Hall for meetings and dining and also make use of the toilet and shower facilities Throughout any given year there are events in Quorn where dozens of caravans camp at the oval precinct and make use of the Community Hall and its facilities The hall was built in 1966 and has only undergone minor repairs and maintenance since then It is now in need of a major face lift to enhance its appearance and an upgrade to ensure its safety and compliance with current and future standards making it fit for purpose Category Building and Facility Construction and Maintenance ServicesResponse Date Tender closes at 5 00 PM 3 July 2020
