Tenders are invited for Construction of Spray Races and Metallic Communal Cattle Crushes ToR s and Specifications for construction of Spray races and Metallic communal cattle crushesRwanda Dairy Development Project RDDP is a 6 year project operating under the Ministry of Agriculture and Animal Resources R wanda Agriculture and Animal Resources Board RAB in partnership with Heifer International The overall goal of the project is to contribute to the propoor national economic growth and improve the livelihood of resource poor rural households by focusing on food security nutrition and empowerment of women and youth in a sustainable and climate resilient dairy value chain development Specifically RDDP seeks to enhance the competitiveness and profitability of the dairy sector for the provision of quality products from small scale producers to domestic and regional consumers thus improving their livelihoods food security and nutrition whilst building overall resilience Heifer International Rwanda has signed a Memorandum of Understanding Moll with Ministry of Agriculture and Animal Resources for partnership in the implementation of the Rwanda Dairy Development Project RDDP Under this framework Heifer will ensure the construction of five cattle Spray races and twenty four metallic communal crushes in sites where project beneficiaries and other farmers in the community can meet for collective spraying to control ticks as well as other routine animal husbandry practices Heifer International Rwanda wishes to invite registered companies to submit their Bill of Quantities and corresponding quotations for the construction of 5 Spray races and 24 metallic communal cattle crushes The tender is divided into 4 Lots as follows LotsProvinceNbr of Spray racesNbr of crushesLot 1Eastern Province Nyagatare Kayonza Rwamagana 50Lot 2Eastern Province Nyagatare Kayonza Rwamagana 06Lot 3Southern Province Ruhango Nyanza 1 Huye 06Lot 4Norther Province Gicumbi Musanze Burera 06Lot 5Western Province Rutsiro Rubavu Nyabihu 06Submission of Bill of Quantities and corresponding quotations will be done after the site visits by Company representatives which will be presided over by Heifer staff 3 Quotation RequirementsQuotations must include the following information at a minimum Bills of Quantities describing the Items specifications quantity price per unit and total price in Rwanda Francs for only one Lot Schedule of implementation of works4 Site visitsThe respective sites will be visited prior to submission of the bids and this will be organised by Heifer International Rwanda The exercise will be conducted in a period of 5 days starting from the 22nd 26th June 2 120 The interested bidders will express their interest to visit the sites by email to Heifer International Rwanda procurement committee via procurement rw heifer org not later than 17 h June 2020 and will immediately be given the ToR s and specification together with internary for the site visitThe interested bidders will be expected to meet Heifer International Rwanda staff at the respective sites on the above mentioned dates 5 Past experienceCompanies bidding for construction of spray races shall include information regarding their relevant past experience for example customer lists copies of contracts and details of spray race construction works conducted Companies bidding for construction of metallic crashes shall include information regarding their past experience for example customer lists copies of contracts and details of construction works conducted All bidders are encouraged to provide atleast 3 reference letters in relation to provision of the similar services 6 Tender Submission Guidelines Financial proposal The contractor shall propose a reasonable cost estimate for the assignments The registered company shall be entirely responsible for all taxes incurred until completion of the contracted activities Experience The contractor shall also provide a description of its relevant previous experience list of assignments conducted brief description of the assignment and any proof of conducting similar work Site visit certificate Presentation of Site visit certificate is mandatory Certificate to be provided by Heifer International Lots allowed per bidder Each bidder will be allowed to submit Bill of Quantities and quotations for only one Lot Bid validity period 90 calendar days7 Selection methodThe selection will be based on demonstrated relevant experience quality of the BOQ and Least cost
