Covid 19 Emergency Response And Health Systems Preparedness ProjectThe Covid 19 Emergency Response And Health Systems Preparedness Project Maldives And It Intends To Apply Part Of The Proceeds To Payments For Goods Related Services And For Consulting Services To Be Procured Under This Project The Objective Of The Project Is To Respond To And Mitigate The Threat Posed By Covid 19 And Strengthen National Systems For Public Health Preparedness In The Maldives The Project Will Include Emergency Response For Covid 19 Prevention Which Shall Consist Of Procurement Of Personal Protective Equipment And Other Essential Items In Support Of Pillar 8 Of The Contingency Preparedness And Response Plan Cprp Enhancing Implementation Of Social Distancing Measures Carrying Out Risk Communication Communication And Behavior Change Activities Emergency Health System Capacity Strengthening For Covid 19 Case Management Which Shall Consist Of Supporting Pillar 5 Of The Cprp For The Fortification Of Disease Detection Capacities Through Strengthened Laboratory And Diagnostic Systems To Ensure Prompt Case Finding And Local Containment Assisting With Provision Of The Best Care Possible For People Who Become Ill Supporting Hospitals To Maintain Essential Services Despite A Surge In Demand And Ensuring Ongoing Support For People Ill In The Community To Minimize The Overall Impact Of The Disease On Society Public Services And On The Economy Strengthening Laboratory And Diagnostic Systems To Ensure Prompt Case Finding And Local Containment Supporting Enhanced Detection Capacities Through Updated Training To Health Workers And Other Frontline Stakeholders And Strengthened Laboratory Capacities Strengthening Of Laboratory Capacity To Diagnose Covid 19 At Both National And Atoll Levels Increasing The Volume Of Testing Kits And Expansion Of Special Panel Kits Expansion Of Testing Capacity To Five Regions Training For Laboratory Technicians Providing Assistance To The Health Care System For Local Containment Through The Establishment Of Local Isolation Units In Hospitals And The Establishment Of Quarantine And Isolation Facilities In Other Existing Spaces Supporting Intensified Contact Tracing Of Known Cases Expansion Of Intensive Care Unit Icu Capacity Including The Establishment Of Additional Icu Beds And The Necessary Equipment And Supplies Training On Implementation Of Sops And Guidelines Which Will Be Provided To Frontline Health Workers Hotel And Resort Staff Airport Personnel And Other Frontline Stakeholders
