UCC RFT Supply Delivery Commissioning and Installation if required of a Robotics System to the Tyndall National Institute University College Cork UCC The research activity of the Wireless Network Group WSN at Tyndall National Institute UCC involves the development and the realisation of a wide variety of Wearable technology This includes devices for body activity monitoring upper and lower body joint function analysis sport performance gait analysis robotics and hand fingers tracking for glove based system validation In particular the group is expanding the research activity around the Industry 4 0 project The aim of this project funded by CONFIRM SFI is to develop the technological frame to lead the safety transition of the Irish and European industry towards the smart manufacturing paradigm enabling immersive collaboration between human workers robots and automation equipment In this context we wish to extend our research capabilities in the emerging area of collaborative robotics by purchasing a 6 axis serial manipulator with anthropomorphic arm configuration one of the most common industrial robots for the assembling line which will allow us to develop and test hardware and software solutions for human robot safe interaction The system offered must be suitable for research applications e g easy to deploy and re deploy in a research lab easy to program and calibrate open SDK or appropriate software for developer users br
