General Procurement Notice for Overall Project Coordination and Administration GENERAL PROCUREMENT NOTICESIERRA LEONEFREETOWN WASH AQUATIC ENVIRONMENT REVAMPING PROJECTGENERAL PROCUREMENT NOTICE GPN The Government of the Republic of Sierra Leone has received a grant and loan from the African Development Fund and a loan from the Kuwait Fund to co finance the Freetown WASH Aquatic Environment Revamping Project In addition the Government of the Republic of Sierra Leone has applied for co financing of the project from the Netherlands Enterprise Agency of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Islamic Development Bank OPEC Fund for International Development Saudi Fund ECOWAS Bank for Investment and Development and the Green Climate Fund The total cost of the project is estimated at approximately USD192 million Guma Valley Water Company is the Executing Agency for the project with Freetown City Council National Protected Areas Authority Western Area Rural District Council the Ministry of Gender and Children s Affairs and the National Water Resources Agency as key implementing partners The principal objectives of this project are to Improve the water supply and sanitation services while ensuring the sustainability of the vital aquatic ecosystem in the Western Area Freetown The Specific objectives of the project are a To rehabilitate and expand water treatment transmission storage and distribution systems b to improve solid and liquid waste collection treatment and disposal services c to provide infrastructure and enhance capacity for the effective protection of the Western Area Protected Forest Water shed and d to promote good sanitation hygiene and child nutrition practices of the primary beneficiaries while facilitating their gainful participation in the improvement of WASH services The project will complement MCC and DFID supported institutional capacity and water supply infrastructure rehabilitation initiatives Procurement of goods works and the acquisition of consultancy services for the project excepting those that will be financed by the Netherlands Enterprise Agency will be carried out in accordance with the Procurement Policy and Methodology for Bank Group Funded Operations BPM dated October 2015 and following the provisions stated in the Financing Agreements Bidding documents for the project goods works and services are expected to be available beginning April 2020 Interested bidders may obtain further information and should confirm their interest by contacting The Procurement Unit Guma Valley Water Company7th Floor Guma BuildingLamina Sankoh Street Freetown Sierra Leone 232 76 695 025 232 30 626 994Email gumaprocurement yahoo com
