Request For Proposals For Consultancy Services Lake Bizerte Integrated Environmental ProgramThe European Investment Bank Hereinafter The Eib Has Proposed To The European Bank For Reconstruction And Development Hereinafter The Ebrd To Co Finance The Integrated De Pollution Program For Lake Bizerte An Integrated Environmental Project Hereinafter The Program Or Project The Other Donors Are The Tunisian State And The Eu Neighborhood Investment Facility For The Neighborhood Ivf The Total Cost Of The Project Is Eur 90 Million Including Vat This Program Concerns The Sanitation Of Lake Bizerte Located In The North Of Tunisia And Connected To The Mediterranean By A 7 Km Canal Directed By The Eib It Is Part Of The Mechanism For The Preparation And Implementation Of Projects In The Investment Program For The Elimination Of The Main Sources Of Pollution In The Mediterranean Mehsip Ppif This Investment Program Considered A Priority Project Was Developed Within The Framework Of The Horizon 2022 Initiative Led By The European Commission Which Aims To Reduce Pollution In The Mediterranean By 80 By 2022 By Tackling Household Waste Urban Waste Water And Industrial Pollutants The Objective Of The Program Is To Reduce The Sources Of Pollution In Lake Bizerte By Implementing Numerous Components Of Investments In Different Sectors Such As Wastewater Solid Waste Industrial Pollutants And Diffuse Pollution The Ebrds Action Will Mainly Relate To The Wastewater Component Of The Program The Final Beneficiary Of Which Is The National Sanitation Office Onas The National Sanitation Company In Addition To The Funding That The Eib And The Ivf Provide The Ebrd Loan Of Eur 20 Million Will Finance The Extension And Rehabilitation Of Three Treatment Plants As Well As Than Extending And Refurbishing The Wastewater Network These Investments Will Help Improve The Quality Of Sanitation Services For Some 400 000 Residents Of Bizerte Governorate
