This Strategy Reflected The 12 Indicators Captured In The 2012 Baseline Study And Emerging Themes On Child Justice Which Guided The Current Interventions For Children In Contact With The Law In Line With Existing Realities National Laws And International Norms And Standards The Implementation Of This Strategy Was However Hindered By The Outbreak Of The Ebola Virus Disease Evd In 2014 How Can You Make A Difference The Child Justice Strategy 2014 2018 Provides The Overarching Framework To Coordinate Implementation Of Child Justice Reforms It Outlines The Agreed Principles That Should Guide The National Child Justice System In Sierra Leone Ensuring That Public Safety Objectives Are Met While Protecting The Rights Of The Child And Respecting The CountryS Commitments Under The Convention On The Rights Of The Child Crc The Strategy Identifies Key Strategic Outcomes To Be Achieved In 5 Years It Also Sets Out The Activities Needed For Incremental Reform Of The National Child Justice System In Line With The GovernmentS Broader Justice Sector Reform Plans Outlined In The Justice Sector Reform Strategy And Investment Plan Jsrsip Iv And The Mid Term National Development Plan 2019 2023 It Is Therefore Crucial That Progress Made In Its Implementation Is Measured And Findings Evidence Generated Are Used To Plan The Next Steps In The Provision Of Child Justice Initiatives And The Protection Of Children This Consultancy Seeks To Hire An Independent Individual Consultant To Evaluate Review The Child Justice Strategy 2014 2018 To Gauge Progress And Its Overall Impact Against Its Outcomes Outputs And Indicators And To Document Challenges And Gaps Findings Or Evidence Generated From This Process Will Be Used To Develop The Next 4 Year Strategy This Review Is Thereby Required To Build On Gains Within The Justice System For Children And To Also Reflect On Recent Developments In Child Justice Issues Within The Justice Sector In Sierra Leone Objectives1 To Identify Quantify And Assess
