Request For Expression Of Interest For Consultancy Services For Third Party Monitoring ValidationProject Name Disaster And Climate Resilience Improvement ProjectThe Province Of Punjab Experienced Heavy Loss Of Life And Property Due To Heavy Rainfall And Ensuing Devastating Floods Of 2014 In The First Week Of September 2014 Heavy Monsoon Rains And Floods In The Catchment Areas Of The Jhelum And Eastern Rivers Chenab Ravi And Sutlej Resulted In Flash Floods And Caused Damages In Various Districts Of The Punjab Province The Floods Caused Extensive Damages To Infrastructure Private Assets And Livelihoods For Restoration And Rehabilitation Of Flood Mitigation Structures Damaged By The Floods Of 2014 A Project Named Disaster And Climate Resilience Improvement Project Dcrip Was Launched By Punjab Irrigation Department With The Assistance Funding Of World Bank Dcrip Comprised Of 2 No Components I E Civil Works And Soft Component Under Civil Works Potential Sites Were Selected And Civil Works At Those Sites Were Executed Through Project Management And Implementation Consultants Under Soft Component Task Of Upgradation Of Different Wings Of Punjab Irrigation Department Was Taken Up Likewise Hiring Of Services Of Consultants For Conducting Feasibility Studies To Finalize Medium To Long Term Works Pertaining To Different Rivers Of Punjab Is Also In Process It Is Envisaged And Desired That Consultancy Services For Third Party Monitoring And Validation Of Already On Going Projects And Future Projects Is To Be Hired Said Consultancy Services Will Also Aim At Rendering Recommendations Or Solutions For Ensuring That The Project Moves On The Right Track Review Procurement And Financial Management Procedures To Make Sure That All The Activities Are Within The Dimensions And Do Not Conflict With Any Guidelines Provided By The Bank Ensure That Hired Firms Are Working In The Framework And Scope Of Work Provided To Them And Within The Anticipated Time Period Etc
