Expression Of Interest Are Invited For Consultancy Services To Facilitate Establishment Of Baseline Indicators For Key Populations In Malawi Unlike Previous National Hiv And Aios Strategic Plans Frameworks The 2015 To 2020 National Hiv And Aids Strategic Plan Prioritizes Key Populations As An Important Sector For Hiv And Aids Programming However Implementation Of Effective Hiv Prevention Interventions To Reduce New Infections Still Poses A Challenge In The National Response To Hiv And Aids In Malawi This Is The Case Because Some Key Populations With High Transmission Potential Are Difficult To Reach With Preventative Interventions The Current Reach Of Interventions To These Populations Therefore Yet To Be Determined In Order To Monitor Effectiveness And The Degree Of Reach For These Interventions To The Intended Beneficiaries There Is Need To Establish Baseline Indicators For Hiv And Aids Services For Such Populations Establishing Baseline Indicators Will Therefore Go A Long Way In Improving Access Quality Reach Acceptability And Effectiveness Of Programs To The Hidden Populations This Will Also Help To Identify Barriers To Services So That Challenges Can Be Resolved And The Quality And Effectiveness Of Programs For Those Most In Need Of Services This Will Be Very Useful In Curbing Further Spread Of Hiv In Hard To Reach Populations Who Sexually Interact With The General Population The National Aids Commission Therefore Intends To Engage A Facilitator To Guide Development Of Hiv Aids Services Related Baseline Indicators Which Will Used To Track Progress In Provision Of Services To Populations In Malawi Key Tasks Of The Facilitator As Outlined Below
