Response From The Red Cross In The Region The Common Denominator Lies In The Need To Develop Effective Strategies To Increase The Individual And Community Resilience Of The Migrant Population Including Children And Women This Programmatic Approach Called The Monarch Butterfly Program Or Migration Program Of America Ifrc Is Inspired By The Monarch Butterfly Danaus Plexippus A Unique Insect In America That Has Unusual Migratory Characteristics It Is The Butterfly With The Longest Migratory Journey And The Longest Life Expectancy Among Its Species The Analogy Related To This Project Seeks To Replicate The Instincts Of Protection Reproduction And Survival Of The Migrant Population Offering A Message Of Hope Amid The Multiple Consequences Of Migration Such As Violence Discrimination And Xenophobia Therefore The Actions Carried Out By This Program Are Aligned With The Capacities And Experience Of Each National Society And The International Federation And Correspond To The Priorities Attention To The Extent To Which The Response Has Taken Into Account And Addressed The Needs Of Vulnerable Groups And In Particular Women The Elderly Girls And Boys And Children People Who Live With A
