Sharp Increase In The Birth Rate In Health Care Settings Which Rose From 22 9 In 2005 To 85 In 2017 Maternal Mortality In Hospital Remained Very High And The Number Of Maternal Deaths At The Hospital Has Almost Doubled In 2014 And 2015 From 265 Deaths To 459 Maternal Deaths A Change From A Ratio Of 80 Per 100 000 Live Births In 2014 To 124 7 Per 100 000 Live Births In 2015 According To The Pnsr Annual Report One Of The Overarching Evidence Based Strategies For Reducing Maternal And Neonatal Mortality Is To Increase The Availability And Quality Of Essential Obstetric And Neonatal Care Sone As Well As High Quality Sonu Services Indeed In 2012 The Ministry Of Public Health And The Fight Against Aids Mspls Through Its National Reproductive Health Program And With The Technical And Financial Support Of Its Partners Unicef Unfpa Who Kfw Developed A Reproductive Health Standards Document Including Protocols For Obstetric And Neonatal Care Essential At All Levels Of Care However These Documents Need To Be Updated To Align With The Recent Who Guidelines On Maternal Newborn And Child Health It Is In This Context That The Ministry Of Public Health And The Fight Against Aids Mspls Through Its National Reproductive Health Program And With The Technical And Financial Support Of Unicef Would Like To Recruit A Gynecologist National Consultant To Support The Revision And Adaptation Of Standards And Procedures For Essential Obstetric And Neonatal Care Including The Management Of Obstetric Fistulas And Cervical And Breast Cancer In Accordance With The New Guidelines Of The Who Ii Objectives Contribute To The Revision And Adaptation Of Sr Standards According To The New Who Guidelines To Reduce Maternal And Neonatal Morbidity And Mortality By Improving The Availability And Quality Of Maternal And Neonatal Health Services Iii Expected Results Of The Consultancy The Expected Results Of The Consultancy Are A Document Standards And Procedures For Essential Obstetric And Neonatal Care According To The New Who Guidelines Are Finalized And Valid A Final Report Of The Consultancy Mission And Elaborates Iv Tasks And Tasks Of The Consultant The Consultant Is Placed Under The Supervision Of The Health Specialist Of The Unicef Health Nutrition Section He She Will Work In Close Collaboration With The National Reproductive Health Program Pnsr As Other Partners Who Support
