Tenders are invited for Consultancy To Support Capacity Building Equitable and Inclusive Education Results Reporting and Research Phnom Penh Cambodia UNICEF began providing assistance to Cambodia in 1952 and has been working since then to improve the wellbeing of Cambodian children UNICEF established its first country office in 1973 in the capital of Phnom Penh More information on what we do in Cambodia is available at https www unicef org cambodia How can you make a difference The purpose of the consultancy is to ensure continuous and quality support to the implementation and reporting of activities relating to the Capacity Development Partnership Fund CDPF and inclusion and equity related education activities in the early childhood and primary education sub sectors The assignment will also entail work in preparing communication assets to highlight important achievements being realized through the education programme Work AssignmentsUnder the supervision of the Chief of Education the Consultant will be responsible for Planning for positive discipline scale up from 2020 Specifically the consultant will prepare a short paper on the options for the use of innovative and value for money training approaches to deliver the programme at scale in the future As part of this work the consultant will document the results of positive discipline training Providing technical review and input into the next phase of longitudinal research on Integrated Early Childhood Development IECD particularly the scoping of follow up research on cognitive testing of children five years and under within the study group Reporting on the implementation of life skills and the localization of Generation Unlimited GenU and UNICEF Cambodia s investments in second decade education activities Providing technical input into programme proposals and field mission documentation and quality review of planned education research to be conducted by UNICEF s education team Develop three human interest stories and or photo essays for use by UNICEF in social media platforms and as part of standard progress reporting Planning structuring quality assuring and providing capacity building in analysis and report writing as well as direct technical written inputs in relation to the preparation of several progress reports To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have The successful consultant is expected to have the following experiences skills knowledge and qualifications Advanced university degree in education social sciences international development or related technical field At least three years of professional work experience at national or sub national level on education programming including the preparation of high quality reporting and communications assets policy development and research Experience of working with Cambodian Government counterparts and or with government counterparts in South East Asia considered an asset including the provision of technical support or implementing programmes in relation to education equity inclusion and capacity building interventions and analytical research Experience in organizing multi stakeholder meetings developing minutes and following up on actions Experience working with UN or other international or national development organizationsTo view detail Terms of Reference for this assignment please click here Description Download File TOR Consultant to capacity building equitable and inclusive education results reporting pdfFor every Child you demonstrate UNICEF s core values of Commitment Diversity and Integrity and core competencies in Communication Working with People and Drive for Results The competencies required for this post are View our competency framework athttp www unicef org about employ files UNICEF Competencies pdfUNICEF is committed to diversity and inclusion within its workforce and encourages all candidates irrespective of gender nationality religious and ethnic backgrounds including persons living with disabilities to apply to become a part of the organization UNICEF has a zero tolerance policy on conduct that is incompatible with the aims and objectives of the United Nations and UNICEF including sexual exploitation and abuse sexual harassment abuse of authority and discrimination UNICEF also adheres to strict child safeguarding principles All selected candidates will therefore undergo rigorous reference and background checks and will be expected to adhere to these standards and principles Remarks Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted and advance to the next stage of the selection process Advertised 21 May 2019 SE Asia Standard TimeApplications close 02 Jun 2019 11 55 PM SE Asia Standard Time
