Tenders Are Invited For Georgia Individual Contractor Child Protection Assistant Sukhumi Abkhazia Georgia Unicef Works In Some Of The WorldS Toughest Places To Reach The WorldS Most Disadvantaged Children To Save Their Lives To Defend Their Rights To Help Them Fulfill Their Potential Across 190 Countries And Territories We Work For Every Child Everywhere Every Day To Build A Better World For Everyone And We Never Give Up Background Between 1 July 2015 And 30 June 2018 With The Financial Support Of Sida Unicef And World Vision Implemented The Programme Strengthening And Developing Sustainable Basic Social Services For Children In Abkhazia Aim Of This Project Was To Support The Introduction Of Community Based Approaches To The Provision Of Quality Basic Social Services For Children To Strengthen And Develop Social Work And To Contribute To Evidence Building On Child Protection Issues In Abkhazia To Build On The Successes Of This Project Sida Unicef And World Vision Decided To Cooperate In A Follow Up Programme That Would Strengthen And Expand The Achieved Results To Support The Planning Coordination Implementation Monitoring And Evaluation Of Activities In The Framework Of This Project Unicefs Sukhumi Field Office Is Recruiting A Local Child Protection Assistant On A Special Service Agreement Ssa Scope Of Work Under The Direct Supervision Of The Child Protection Officer Noa And The Chief Of Sukhumi Field Office As Well As In Close Cooperation With Relevant International And National Unicef Child Protection Specialists The Child Protection Assistant Will Provide Assistance To The Development Implementation Monitoring And Evaluation Of All Protection Related Activities Of The Sukhumi Field Office Contract Period The Duration Of The Initial Contract Is 6 Months With The Possibility For Extension In Case Of Available Funding The Start Date For Contract Is Beginning Of July 2019 Duties And Responsibilities The Child Well Being Assistant Will Fulfil The Following Duties And Responsibilities Engage In Research On Specific Topics Related To Child Well Being And Provide Background Information Papers Reports To Unicef Support The Implementation Of The Sida Funded Project Developing Strengthening And Expanding Sustainable Basic Social Services For Children In Abkhazia In All Its Aspects Amongst Others Provide Input To Various Draft Project Documents Participate In The Planning Preparation Implementation Monitoring And Evaluation Of Activities And Provide Input To Various Reports Related To Child Well Being Activities Monitor Document And Report On The Activities Of Unicefs Implementing Partners And Their Impact In The Field Of Child Well Being In Abkhazia Support The Coordination Of Unicef Activities In The Field Of Child Well Being With The Activities Of Unicefs Implementing Partners Other International Organizations And Ngos Act As A Unicef Gender Focal Point In The Framework Of The Sida Funded Project Developing Strengthening And Expanding Sustainable Basic Social Services For Children In Abkhazia Maintain Close Contacts With Relevant Unicef Colleagues And Offices Outside Of Abkhazia As Well As Stakeholders In The Field Of Child Well Being In Abkhazia Fulfil Other Duties And Responsibilities As Requested By The Chief Of Sukhumi Field Office Or Child Protection Officer TasksTask Engage In Research On Specific Topics Related To Child Well Being And Provide Background Information Papers Reports To Unicef Timeframe Mode Of Service Throughout The Contract Period Deliverables Quality Office Or Child Protection Officer Timeframe Mode Of Service As NecessaryDeliverables N ANecessary Qualifications And Experience Specialised Trainings In A Relevant Field E G Law Sociology Psychology Medicine Pedagogical Studies Etc Relevant University Degree Would Be A Significant Asset At Least Three Years Relevant Working Experience Good Understanding Of Child Well Being Issues Very Good Analytical Skills Experience In Research And The Writing Of Analytical Reports Very Good Organizational Skills Fluency In Russian Language And Working Knowledge Of English Language Knowledge Of Other Relevant Languages Would Be An Asset Ability To Work In A Multi National Environment With Team Members From Different Cultural Backgrounds Performance Indicators The Child Protection Assistants Performance Will Be Evaluated Against The Following Criteria Timeliness Responsibility Initiative Communication And Quality Of Duties And Responsibilities Fulfilled Unsatisfactory Performance In Case Of Unsatisfactory Performance The Contract Can Be Terminated By Notification Letter Sent 15 Days Prior To The Termination Date Remuneration Applicants Are Required To Submit A Financial Proposal For The Requested Services The Remuneration Will Be Negotiated Between The Applicants And Unicef On The Basis Of An Initial Proposal Of The Applicants The Child Protection Assistant Will Be Remunerated On Monthly Base Following Satisfactory Fulfilment Of The Duties And Responsibilities And The Provision Of A Monthly Report On Activities Performed And Deliverables Achieved
