Request For Expression Of Interest For Individual Consultancy For Social SpecialistProject Name Southern Africa Trade And Transport Facilitation Program Sop2The Consulting Services The Services Include Implementation And Monitoring Of The Implementation Status Of Project S Safeguards Instruments Including The Social Impact Assessments Sias Social Management Plans Smps And Resettlement Action Plans Raps Ensuring That There Is Coordination Between The Status Of Works And The Preparation And Implementation Of The Project S Sias Smps And Raps And Ensuring Compliance Of The Project Interventions With The National Social Legislation Of Malawi And Safeguards Policies Of The World Bank The Social Safeguards Specialist Will Work In The Roads Authority Head Office Pit Office In Lilongwe And The Duration Of This Assignment Will Be For An Initial Period Of 24 Months On A Full Time Basis With Possible Extension For Additional 12 Months Upon Satisfactory Performance The Successful Consultant Is Expected To Start The Assignment Immediately The Roads Authority Now Invites Eligible Individuals Consultants To Express Their Interest In Providing The Services Interested Consultants Should Provide Information Demonstrating That They Have The Required Qualifications And Relevant Experience To Perform The Services The Shortlisting Criteria Are At Least A Bachelor S Degree In Social Sciences Such As Sociology Social Development Development Studies Or Other Areas Relevant To The Assignment And Strong Analytical Skills At Least 5 Years Of Experience In Social Management And Monitoring Of Transport Projects Or Engineering Projects Especially In The Road Sector Or Similar Large Infrastructure Works Projects Experience With International Development Organizations In Developing Countries Preferably In Africa Knowledge Of Social Development Issues Associated With Large Projects
