Tenders Are Invited For Econsult Us Government Congressional Advocacy ConsultancyThe Global Partnership For Education Gpe Which Is Hosted By The World Bank Seeks To Engage A Consultant To Develop And Implement A Congressional Advocacy Strategy Over The Period July 1 2019 Through June 30 2020 As Noted Below The Services Include Congressional Advocacy Services And Counsel In Relation To U S Government Contributions To The Global Partnership For Education Gpe A Multilateral Partnership Hosted By The World Bank And Us Support For Global Basic Education In The Poorest Countries From July 1 2019 To June 30 2020 Originally Titled The Fast Track Initiative The Global Partnership Has Been In Existence Since 2002 The Global Partnership Includes Donor And Developing Country Governments Unicef Unesco And Unhcr The World Bank The Private Sector And Foundations Civil Society From Donor And Developing Countries And Teachers Associations Gpe Has Committed Approximately 6 Billion To More Than 65 Developing Country Partners Over The Last 17 Years For The Strengthening Of Their Education Systems With A Focus On Primary And Lower Secondary Education The Us Government Through Usaid Is Among Gpes 20 Public Donors And Its Contributions Have Increased Over The Last Five Years Largely Due To Effective Outreach To And Awareness Raising Among Key Congressional Offices And Committees By Gpe And Advocacy Partners Such Outreach Has Led To Strong Bipartisan Support Within The Congress For Global Basic Education And Gpes Results Based Financing Model Numerous Other Sovereign Donors Have Also Increased Their Support To Gpe Over Recent Years However The Global Partnership Still Faces A Financing Gap Which We Hope To Close Through Continued And Broader Advocacy In The Us And Other Donor Countries
