The Consultant During The Period Of 2 Weeks Following The Submission Of Task 1 Report Divided To 2 Days Field Visits Transportation Will Be Provided By Cdr Followed By A 1 Day For Training And Technology Transfer Based On Task 1 Results And The Field Visits The 1 Day Training And Technology Transfer Is Expected To Include 2 Sessions Of 2 Hrs Each A 1 Technical Sessions For Cdr Engineers Working On Road Projects And B 1 Session For Engineers Technicians From Ministry Of Public Works Task 3 Stage 2 A Desk Review Of The Final Design Of The Same 100Km Of Roads Subject Of Task 1 Above After Incorporating Recommendations Of Task 1 Review Assess And Finalize The Team Member S Findings In Order To Combine All Works In One Consolidated Report Including Any Possible Additional Recommendations Objective Of The AssignmentThe Council For Development And Reconstruction Cdr Intends To Select An Individual Consultant Who Will Act As A Road Safety Audit Team Leader To Conduct The Stage 1 And Stage 2 Road Safety Audit On The Detailed Designs Of Road Sub Projects In Order To Ensure That Roads Accidents Especially The Fatal And Seriously Injured Road Crashes Are Minimized By Identifying Any Road Safety Weaknesses Embedded In The Road Design The Consultant Shall Also Follow The Irap And The Safe System Approach In The Detailed Design Audit To Identify And Inspect High Risk Roads And To Develop Safer Roads Investment Plans In Order To Improve Star Ratings In Consultation With The Existing Irap Partner On The Project The Consultant Shall Also Provide To The Extent Possible Training Technology Transfer And Support That Will Build And Sustain National Capabilities Track Road Safety Performance On The Targeted Roads So That The World Bank And Funding Agencies Can Assess The Benefits Of Their Road Investments In Lebanon A Road Safety Audit Team Is Required To Work Together On All Aspects Of The Road Safety Audit Related To The Aforementioned Project And Shall Be Independent Of The Design Team Due To The Scale Of The Project And In Line With Major Road Safety Audit Guidelines The Road Safety Audit Team Shall Comprise A Minimum Of Two Persons A Team Leader And Team Member 3 Scope Of ServicesThe Road Safety Audit Team Leader Shall Conduct A Combined Stage 1 And Stage 2 Road Safety Audit For The Detailed Designs For The Rehabilitated Roads Following The Most Up To Date Road Safety Audit Guidelines Of The Uk Germany Usa Or Australia The Audit Will Be Carried Out As A Desk Review Using Available Detailed Designs Google Earth Images And Previous Background About The Designed Roads Irap Surveys Have Been Undertaken For The Existing Roads And Will Be Undertaken And Available To The Consultant For The Proposed Designs The Audit Should Consider These And Ensure That As Far As Financially Feasible Irap Recommendations For Safety Are Included In The Designs The Consultant Has To Provide A Detailed List Of Road Safety Issues Encountered During The Detailed Design Audit With Specific Recommendations On How To Improve Them The Scope Tasks Are Defined As Follows Task 1 Stage 1 A Desk Review Of The Preliminary Design Of About 100Km Of Roads
