Engineering Studies – Project Management Mission For The Renewal Of The Tram Rail Platform Located Between The Hôpital Bellevue Tram Stop And The Solaure Tram Stop In Saint-Etienne. The Renewal Of The Railway Platform Between The Hôpital Bellevue Stop And Solaure Station Is A Project Led By Saint-Etienne Métropole. This Section Serves The Southern Districts Of The City Of Saint-Etienne From Its Origin Located At The North Hospital In The Commune Of Saint Priest En Jarez. The Affected Line Is The T1 And It Serves The Main Artery Called “Grand Rue”. This Section Is Made Up Of A Double-Track Sector Along Rue Ambroise Paré And A Loop-Shaped Sector Made Up Of A Single Track. This Loop Allows The Tram Trains To Turn Around On Track 2 From The Solaure Stop Heading North. It Is Useful For Unidirectional Rolling Stock (Alsthom). The Rolling Stock Has A Gauge Of 2.15M, I.E. A So-Called Tailor-Made Gauge, And It Will Be Replaced In The Medium And Long Term By Equipment With A Standard Gauge Of At Least 2.30M. This Choice Is Motivated By The High Cost Of Custom Equipment. The Footprint Of The Future Platform Must Make It Possible To Accommodate Future Rolling Stock While Maintaining Urban Integration And Limiting Its Impact On The Existing One.
