Tenders are invited for Envision Spacecraft Low Gain Antenna EnVision is a Venus orbiter mission selected by ESAs Science Programme Committee as the fifth Medium-class mission in the Agencys Cosmic Vision plan. It will be the first mission to investigate Venus from its inner core to its upper atmosphere, characterising the interaction between its atmosphere, surface/subsurface and interior. It aims at providing a holistic view of Venus, studying the planets history, activity, and climate. An overview of the EnVision mission and its objectives can be found on the Agency website here: https://www.esa.int/Science_Exploration/Space_Science/EnVision_factsheet. Thales Alenia Space España (TAS-E) is issuing this ITT as EnVision Prime Contractor for the TT&C Subystem, and conducting the procurement under the principles of ESA Best Practices for the selection of subcontractors. TAS-E will release an Invitation To Tender for the procurement of the Low Gain Antenna (LGA). ENVISION TT&C Subsystem is based around 2 X/X/Ka Integrated Deep Space Transponders (i-DST) with TC, TM and Ranging capability in X Band (uplink and downlink), and High Data Rate TM capability in Ka Band (downlink only). The transponders are connected to separate X and Ka band sections. The Low Gain Antenna (LGA) system consist of 2 LGAs each providing hemispherical coverage guaranteeing the full S/C coverage for LEOP operation and when the S/C is in SAFE MODE configuration. The two LGA are mounted on X panel in opposite direction. It consists of: LGAs LGA-1 and LGA-2. It shall support: - X-band uplink for simultaneous tele command and ranging reception - X-band downlink for simultaneous S/C telemetry, science data and ranging transmissionRead more Tender Link : https://esastar-publication-ext.sso.esa.int/nonEsaTenderActions/filter/open
