This Project Includes The Manual Brushing (Vegetation Management) Of Approximately 98 Hectares On 6 Treatment Units At Production Rate, And The Possibility Of Another 56 Hectares On 4 Treatment Units At Dayrate Within The Kootenay Lake Field Unit. Another 20 Person Days Have Been Included For Possible Treatment Units That May Be Identified Through 2026 Recces And Surveys. Total Possible Dayrate Days Is 131 Days.These Days And Units Are Not Guaranteed.Treatment Units Are Spread Across The Area And Are Generally Within The Northern Kootenay Lake Operating Area. These Day-Rate Sites Are To Be Determined After 2026 Spring Recce/ Walkthroughs By Bcts Are Conducted. These Blocks Include Section 108 Blocks That Have Been Burned By Wildfire. It Is Uncertain If All This Ground Is Plantable Or If It Will Require Brushing. Day Rate Services Are All Found And Bid Per Person, Per Day, And Are Assuming One Truck With A Crew Of 4 Or 5 Workers Or Multiples Thereof. Manual Brushing Includes Cutting All Competing Vegetation Within A 1.25M Cylinder Around Crop Trees, With A Power Saw Or Similar, In Accordance With The Contract Treatment Specifications. All Manual Brushing Will Use A 1.25M ‘Variable Radius’ Around Crop Trees Unless Otherwise Directed. On Steep Slopes This Results In More Cutting Above The Crop Tree, Less Cutting Below.
