The Medicine Hat Catholic Board Of Education (‘Mhcbe’) Is Seeking A Vendor To Provide A Value Scoping And The Development Of A Revised Three-Year Capital Plan And Ten-Year Facilities Plan For The Division.The Project Will Specifically Address A Value Scoping For Notre Dame Academy To Identify Options To Address Enrollment Pressures And Identify Opportunities To Dispose Of City Owned Facilities In The Long-Term Which Will Necessitate A Review And Modernization Of The Mhcbe Three-Year Capital Plan And Ten-Year Facilities Plan In Accordance With The Alberta Education School Capital Manual For The 2024/25 School Year. This Project Would Consider The Following:1.Enrollment Pressures At Notre Dame Academy And The Future Of The City Owned Portion Included In The Building;2.The Transfer Of Elementary French Immersion To St. Mary’S School From Ecole St. John Paul Ii School In Fall 2025;3.The Construction Of Holy Trinity Academy Scheduled For Opening In Winter 2027 For St. Francis Students And Fall 2027 For St. Michaels And St. Mary’S Students4.The Use And Programming At St. Mary’S Starting Fall 2027;5.The Long-Term Use Or Disposition Of St. Michael’S School;6.Consideration Of The Area Capacity And Utilization Of All Schools And The Impact On Funding And Expenses As Well As Consideration Of The Facility Condition Of All Schools Which May Impact Modernization Requirements At Schools7.Consideration Of The City And Regional Birth Rates Along With Migration Impacts Expected;8.Desire For Enhanced Shared Athletic Training Space For The Division Schools And Programs, If Possible;9.Mhcbe Senior Administration To Be Consulted Throughout The Project.
