ABB and Welspun Energy
ABB and Welspun Energy have jointly installed around 700 MW of solar photovoltaic (PV) projects in India. PV projects have been installed in Punjab, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu.
This includes a key project of 52 MW for Maharashtra State Generation Company at Baramati,which was the first ever PPP (public-private partnership) project in the industry. Vineet Mittal, Managing Director, Welspun Energy, said: “By setting up large scale solar capacities across the country we are supporting country’s developmental needs through clean energy.” ABB has emerged as a major supplier of solar photovoltaic (PV) inverters.
