Toshiba Transmission and Distribution (India) Pvt Ltd (TTDI) has lined up Rs. 200-crore investment at its global manufacturing facility here for expansion.
It has just completed $30-million investment in the new production lines.
Announcing this at a press conference here today, its Chairman and Managing Director, Katsutoshi Toda, said the new production lines were ready for full-scale operation.
The production capacity of transformers was up by 50 per cent and the new production lines for new technology products will allow the company to meet the growing demand in India and globally.
"TTDI will seek to expand its business through full-scale operations," Toda said.
