Ministry of Road Highways and Transport is planning to take up 16 laning of NH-24 from near ITO till Dasna in Ghaziabad. The 16-lane project will include six-lanes as expressway, making it an access-controlled highway. The widening work is part of the Delhi-Meerut expressway project. The widening will commence from Yamuna bridge on NH-24 and will go upto Dasna via UP-Delhi border and eventually till Meerut. The cost of the project could be in the range of Rs 4,000 to Rs 5,000 crore, The project to be completed by July 2018.
