Geminy Acid & Fertilizers (P) Limited has announced its plan to set up a single superphosphate (SSP) plant in Hoshiarpur district of Punjab. The proposed plant will have a capacity to manufacture 300 tonnes single super phosphate (SSP) per day. The project will need Rs 8.3 crore to get complete. The will produce powder and granular grades of single superphosphate (SSP). project envisages manufacture of 300 tonnes per day of powder and granular grades of SSP. The company would also produce sulphuric acid.
The Ministry of Environment and Forest (MOEF) expert committee for appraisal (EAC) has asked the company to submit a revised prefeasibility report on the project.
